More now let's bring in headed by former Indiana seven -- Fox News contributor he's with us.

From Washington as well to the talk about this breaking story that we can talk about some other things senators well but it.

It took awhile now we're gonna get this resignation your take out at his watch.

-- I think it was inevitable a lot of these sorts of things take on a life hold their own and that sort of built up such a level of momentum and there was.

Almost a new revelation every day.

I think he's done the right thing for himself and his family for the Democratic Party and frankly for the country because.

Regrettably we've got a lot bigger problems in this that we gotta be -- 10 yes we DO so that the take up that issue of the Democratic Party because it strikes out for a couple of weeks.

And it did what did he do damage or would it have done damage had a drag -- even longer to terms of the agenda and the conversation we should be having.

I think most of the damage was temporary but real -- call there was a special election in upstate New York.

More Republican district but the Democrat won.

In large part because of the emphasis on the Medicare issues that -- starting to gain some traction for the Democrats that was all just -- taken completely off the front page and people were talking about that the latest a photograph for the latest revelation of the of winner gave and so that just took the Democratic Party completely off message.

Now that'll be behind the party we can get back to focusing on more important substantive matters -- that's -- -- these things as you know are all about timing and -- had it come up at a time maybe when the Democrats.

Would that issue with upstate New York -- Medicare -- that wasn't a front page issue -- might be if you're Democrat saying boy thank goodness we have.

Congressman -- to distract us from other -- -- -- you know in this case -- present -- -- Arnold Schwarzenegger was happy to see the congressman Peter story broke but -- Sure for some reason you had the media bullseye on you yeah those are welcome a diversion but.

A -- went -- to many Americans are find themselves in that category arts and now we're gonna get to this well hopefully now will have a conversation about real issues right in the debt talks are gonna come up.

Again these Greek protests have been taking place in Europe the last couple days of people start to ask the question.

Are we headed in that direction.

What should where do you think we pick up -- all of this and are you confident we're gonna get something done now that this is out of the way.

Well those are too important to a bit different issues that the Greek issue it's hard for me to see happy resolution of that.

And by that I mean an outcome -- you avoid some sort of restructuring of the Greek debt right even with these austerity measures they're talking about the amount of debt that the Greeks are will bear.

There's just not sustainable I -- -- in -- -- you don't need you don't think we're took what I meant was you don't think we're turning -- Greece though that that's in our future do you.

Well not immediately but if some corrections are made -- we're gonna find ourselves in a similar unsustainable so the situation it may take three or four years.

But the amount of deficit the amount of -- we're taking on is something that just cannot continue that's why I hope.

We'll see -- perhaps this.

Debt limit vote that has to come up pools serve as a catalyst for us beginning to get our own fiscal house in order because we need to.

Yes we do.

Aren't we're back talking about that senator and won't have you ought to talk about congressman -- anymore but to thank you for joining us today we appreciate it.

Always good to be with you senator Evan -- with this from.
