Joining us now doctor Wally Ferris Fox News Middle Eastern affairs analyst author of the -- the coming revolution.

Struggle for freedom in the Middle East and always good to have you here.

I thank you haven't let let's begin with.

With Robert Gates who we have to give credit for being a -- of dollar.

Are questioning the NATO alliance and they support and financial as well as military of our allies in NATO.

What my goodness why do we even require assistance as the world's only superpower and engaging.

I poorly trained army of some fifteen perhaps 20000.

Men in a nation a six and a half million people.

But -- I think the problem now is what's the mission of NATO unlocked what's the goal Wu was the enemy and doing the -- and I want you and I remember Wally and I understand I understand that's one question but it's but I think we need to answer first.

Why is it we are even involved with NATO in this -- Because that we decided washed and decided that Gadhafi has to go and if we appear that we are the only one going -- to Qaddafi.

And the fear is that the Arab all of the many forces in the region and -- -- all that's another unit Afro American intervention.

So in the beginning we should have made a decision either we really wanna see -- golf.

And then we have the means to do so all the cannot quote unquote hide behind nickel and have managed to do with and -- -- Well we we are.

Watching and I don't know that you and I are under any obligation to him to indulge or in -- -- oblige the spectacle the administration is embarked upon.

NATO is nothing more than a shovel it it is nightmare big -- for what is US led US supplied.

US material being carried out by predominantly US forces.

Against a nation a six and a half million people.

I think you know with all respect to the Defense Secretary and I again I applaud him for his candor.

He was candid up to a point.

And the reality is the United States has declared.

War against Libya is going after its leader and this without the sanction of the American people are the United States congress.

And all of the rest of it as far as I can see and I would like units.

If you would construct the reality appropriately apply them.

-- wrong here all the rest of this is of.

-- -- But you're absolutely right on the fact.

That we engage ourselves in a campaign which and should be the removal of Qaddafi.

But also defend palm replacing him with some other force and I think that's what the problem is it's not moving -- It's we gonna replace him -- -- I fear.

That the reason -- why congress was not consulted or asked to look into the issue because congress would ask.

Who audio partners.

Who are those forces and then Ghazi we're gonna look at their agenda and I think that what the reason probably one of the reason why.

The administration bypassed congress thought that NATO could do it and it's not been feasible so far.

My job -- only did they aren't capable of bypassing the entire American Media they aren't capable of bypassing the American people.

Or those who would be honest and and there are discourse over these tremendous issues.

What is the US policy in the Middle East what are we doing attacking Libya how.

Dare this administration or any other try to create a fiction.

Construct a fiction called NATO.

To disguise.

Our hostilities against the nation's six and a half million people.

Look I don't think we have at this point in time ten years after her not 1120 years after the Cold -- -- uptrend.

If anybody controlled -- what is -- foreign policy threat doctrine we don't.

We can't even name.

The enemy that did 9/11 can call them jihadist.

Let I don't going to Libya and name what will be that's -- -- to Qaddafi I'm not even approaching Yemen.

I'm not even approaching why in Syria for example we have not you know behaved in a way they'll be logical and ask asset to -- So there is some sort of contradictions and off for -- points at this point in time and fortunately.

Contradictions and and and -- -- cash here construction of fiction.

Are these are radical Islamist terrorists with which we are warring.

Why can this administration on straightforwardly say that why can't we as a people and the media did -- Focus directly focus on that reality name our enemies and destroy them.

Absolutely first thing you do and any confrontation -- to define.

Who's the -- what's the threat foot -- reason for us to -- -- public to be able to follow you to support to another tool clear potential not nice to be with you.

In the Middle East for example if we don't name the enemy how we gonna get allies how you gonna get people in civil society.

And that has been very clear unfortunately last week when we committed with the Europeans to connect forty billion dollars for the so called Arab spring.

Now who's gonna receive those dollars most likely -- and Egypt or in today's yet it's gonna the most above solid order cousins quote unquote so we've got to be clearer -- off foreign partner.

Doctoral in Paris always clear and we appreciate your book more far.

Thanks so much -- and -- it.
