-- at that so how is video of trouble our economy how will a shaky economy shape.

Twenty trial race for president is an already happening Bret Bair is joining us -- of Fox News Channel Special Report -- always terrific to see you.

How -- you already has seen like those numbers on Friday.

How how -- the president come out and explain that away come up with some policies to respond and and how the Republican candidate so far respond.

Yeah I I think this was a game changer moment for people's perception you know just two weeks ago.

There were a number of media outlets were painting a picture in the wake of the killing of Osama bin Laden that President Obama was really.

Invincible and that he was an automatic on reelection then those numbers come out Friday and it kind of change the perception.

Many people thought it all along but when the numbers hit.

It was really -- game changer moment you have Mitt Romney who came out the day before these numbers came out.

Focusing on the economy and optimism and helping businesses get to the environment where they're creating jobs and that message in.

As you look at it after the numbers came out on Friday seem to really hit home other Republican candidates have jumped on that message as well.

And it is a tough thing for the administration to defend especially since there are many arrows left in their quiver.

Right basically.

It looks like we and spent money the government stimulus we have government stimulus and every quarter going back to.

-- 2000 and hate and they can that they kids spend anymore money they indeed are they got what is it what is their ammo here.

Mr.

like I thought I -- out blame than that blame let's blame business.

Is that I.

I I think it's 87 message about the balls now in business court and what it doesn't seem to.

Be sticking as far as how there's they're spinning this after the numbers Austan Goolsbee is -- number of different interviews.

And basically the message is there's no appetite on Capitol Hill for any additional stimulus at this point.

And there is very little that the Fed as you know.

Can do beyond what they're doing already the borrowing rates down to zero they've done the quantitative easing one and two.

So it is a matter of stimulating.

Business is to create the environment and so far there's no indication that the administration's gonna take that.

Long ball and reform the tax code at least before the election we're speaking at attacks focused this morning we have Rick Santorum from his hat in the ring.

For the GOP nomination and that really.

We may be tees up the possibility for the Republican candidates to focus on.

Very low taxes lowered taxes if you're if you're going to put the onus and the burden on private business does not brand.

Sure yeah creating that environment and you have a number of candidates not just Mitt Romney but Herman -- the businessman former CEO of godfathers pizza.

You have Santorum talking about this this morning in Pennsylvania his official launch.

You have others like Tim Pawlenty who have been out and he's going to be giving a big economic speech in Chicago tomorrow so I think you'll see that.

The formulation.

Of taxes and how to get business is in the right environment by which they are creating jobs.

Becomes a Republican talking point.

The economy really will be the issue.

In all polls that you see about -- time we get to point two up.

-- you know.

Gas prices now at the whole lot more Bret thank you so much it was great -- you it's always red -- You think -- tonight and every weeknight special -- 6 PM eastern on the Fox News Channel.
