Tonight on the dock of the civil war on Capitol Hill will -- be confrontational.
Will be more of the same out of control spending that will enslave our children to debt or real substantial cuts and about not to borrow another -- call.
That's because freedom and prosperity are really at stake here and you've got to wonder of Washington gets it.
When the GOP passes yet another spending bill that would extend it extend funding of the government for just another week and the Democrats want to spend.
As if the last election never happen.
Let's get real here America this is a battle between the big government party that includes all Democrats on most Republicans on one hand.
And the limited government Tea Party Republicans on the other hand.
The Republican and democratic branches of the big government party want to borrow and spend just on different things.
On Wall Street and corporate welfare like TARP bailouts and entitlements such a social security and welfare.
And what's at stake is nothing less than the future of this country this is that important.
If we stop borrowing we can be free and prosperous.
If it is business as usual we will be slaves to our debt.
Joining me now north Carolina Republican congressman and Tea Party caucus member Walter Jones congressman Jones -- the pleasure welcome back to freedom watch.
Well just like him with your introduction not all about jumping out the -- Well let's not do that the -- because it was very good and it tell the truth about where America is so I I I commend you for that and it's time -- as we said before your show it's time for the American people who -- wake up.
And if you -- -- -- it will allow me very quickly -- -- an eight billion dollars a month and Afghanistan is money we could.
Say this money we could -- here the American people and as top of the American people to get involved they are involved the Tea Party people as you mentioned but -- The American people need to get -- bringing our troops home should we cut the defense budget as well as every other budget in order to stop firing another nickel.
Judge I think they should be across the board cut I think everybody should be at the table and that includes defense.
And these other programs we will never get to the bottom line as we need to get to the bottom line.
A list we put everything on the table and let everybody absorb a cut across the board in my humble opinion.
Congressman Jones -- want your thoughts on this my view is since the beginning of the new deal Washington has developed a culture of dependency.
A dependency for welfare and wealth transfers.
Mainly from the Democrats.
A dependency for corporate bailouts and stimulus programs for big banks and big corporations mainly from the Republicans.
Can we use a government shut down.
Or can we use the fact that -- on the precipice of an abyss that needs to be filled with fourteen point three trillion dollars.
As an opportunity to break the cycle of dependency.
Or will it be business as usual kick the can down the road let our future generation painful things.
Judge I think we're headed boy and a BS there's no question about it but what a what I want to -- and some of the Republicans both.
Tea Party types and not Tea Party types.
Is to see that -- that we saw this train down.
We may be extended for one week.
But because I would -- if we have -- shut down.
Whether we're not prepared for it and it this goes on for weeks and weeks and weeks with this recession we're in a desperate recent recession you know this better not do.
And I think what we need to do is just to try to find the common ground I think the real battle should be and will be on the twentieth -- budget quite frankly.
But we -- we gave you stand the government for just another week we'll be back in the same position.
A week from today that we are today just like we're in that position two weeks ago today and three weeks before that.
No one ever really wants to bite the bullet and make the tough decisions they just want to keep LA and my right.
Well I think you're I don't that would let me get back to my point about Afghanistan why aren't people outraged about eight billion dollars a month.
And having all these wounded soldiers and Marines ever Walter Reed and Bethesda -- -- stone and out last week got solitude.
Soldiers that don't -- have body parts of the leather waist.
Can you imagine just astronomical calls to take care of these soldiers and Marines to the next thirty years we night in -- with that.
Want to give it to your final why -- in the congress doing something about the president waging.
Five illegal war is the most recent of which is in Libya -- -- because.
They like the president or they really want to help out you go and they don't care if he violates the constitution and kills people.
Well let me tell -- they are few of us that are trying to do something about it -- you know Ron Paul and myself and Jimmy Duncan.
And then you got Dennis Kucinich on the on the left side we are trying to do something about it detected this edition of Libya.
To spend almost a billion dollars and nine days.
-- to start a war that should never had not taken place anyway got -- congressman Walter Jones fighting for fiscal sanity thanks for joining us.
