In many ways the new Barney Frank Chris Dodd financial reg bill that Scott Brown voted for today is exactly the kind of big government program.
That Scott Brown ran against its -- -- banditry personified as corrupt.
It costs too much it makes big government even bigger creating at least five new bureaucracies it helps.
Big bank insiders who spent billions to get what they want.
At the expense of small community banks.
And it was co authored by two with a most infamous politicos who helped get us in to the mess that this -- supposed to get -- -- up.
Senator Chris stop took a bribe from a mortgage giant and then wrote -- 300 billion dollar housing bill.
That allow that same mortgage company to off -- millions of its worst sub prime loans right into your lap the taxpayer.
You trust this guy to write a -- bill.
The bill's other co author -- congressman Barney Frank.
Was a great defender of the cesspool mortgage giants Fannie and Freddie sneering at critics who suggested that these institutions were in trouble.
I do not think we are facing any kind of a crisis.
That is in my view the two government -- enterprise we talk about here Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are not in -- crises.
And even though Fannie and Freddie played a key role in the financial meltdown and are about to explode with a trillion dollars worth the liabilities.
They -- avoided like the play in this bill.
Corruption avoidance of economic realities bureaucracy.
A triumph of big lobbyists over the small guys a small businesses.
All this adds up -- exactly the culture of Washington politics that Scott Brown ran against.
Listen it was primary reception speech.
On December 8 of last year.
-- -- The great issues facing America you're entitled to know the convictions that each candidate holds.
And I've stayed in mind -- let me do it again.
I believe in limited government and in the -- power of the free market to create jobs and wealth of our people.
And we need to start restricting the size of gunmen in intrusiveness of government as well.
But -- size and the intrusiveness of government just increased enormously with passage.
Of this finreg bill so what happened -- mr.
Could -- be one of those folks who congressman Ron Paul referred to in an interview with scoreboard just a couple of months ago.
I can always tell wouldn't be herself and I would watch members and all of a sudden.
They determined that it is their best interest to go along to get along if we could package this this -- sense that you have of what happens to people within it did they change color did something happen whether rise what is -- run.
They rationalize and they say they're doing the best -- for their district so is Scott Brown one of those rationalize his easiest sell.
