-- the man -- is no doubt telling these new found Democrat tax cut enthusiasts.
What took you so long to -- say some of Florida senatorial candidate Marco Rubio says these guys get -- what worries them.
Is that from the president on down their leaders do not but that could be changing.
Andy thinks he knows why.
We're getting closer to Election Day I think that's what's happening in the reality that millions of Americans are -- -- see their taxes go up million you know thousands of small businessman.
An entrepreneur -- -- gonna see their taxes go up people are starting to hear from the job creators who were telling them that one of the reasons why jobs are being created in America.
Is because of this pending tax increase on thousands of small businesses almost twenty -- Americans are employed.
By companies or employers are gonna get hit with tax increases.
Even under the current democratic leadership plan so I think the closer he -- Election Day the more.
Religion some of these.
Democratic leaders are gonna find.
Well on May be live there.
There Indians are are feeling that -- I don't know about the leaders don't -- I -- indications are at about Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer.
Who run the house -- And happening.
Well every to their apparel will be out the reality evidence that I travel throughout Florida -- been doing it for fifteen months I get to talk to job creators all the time you know job creators are not Steny -- it's not Nancy Pelosi it's not presidents -- congressman.
Job creators are people from all walks of life who start businesses or expand existing ones.
And I haven't yet run into a single job creator who's told us they're looking forward to these tax increases in fact they all say the same thing.
Did the Specter of these tax increases and the worry about them is what's keeping them from expanding -- going into -- not new lines of work.
But what seats and the united it's not as if this was ever popular -- went on product so when my the other would Democrats.
It is yes you're right it is bigger broader look at polls it's so this now but our day.
Are they saying something as well about the economy itself that it's -- than they thought so when Ben Nelson and others say.
There's still four hiking taxes on the richest Elaine the year what what's really happening.
Well I can tell you that a week ago week and a half ago we started our plan at the top twelve point plan to get the economy growing in number one was to extend and make these tax cuts permanent the 2001 and 2003.
We've been attacked by every kind of left of center.
The media observer and even some in.
In in the -- print media as well who have come after us for that but the reality of it is that this is what it's gonna take to grow our economy we don't have economic growth in America.
We're never gonna generate the revenue we need that to -- our national defense or get ourselves out -- debt hole that we aren't.
And I think there's a growing realization I hope.
Among some of the rank and file on the Democratic Party that their leadership is taking them in the wrong direction on this issue.
I'm I'm sort of out of the race and -- and in Florida right now and and view and Charlie Crist -- is fairly tight race depending on the latest poll.
He leads by a little bit or more than a little bit.
Com and and this whole gulf disaster.
Has actually helped him as the governor it's guarded -- -- that in in an end in your position.
But do you think did that as.
Sort of galvanized attention I -- -- cost you.
I I don't I really don't I think he's used -- for photo ops I think he's used it to appear on camera.
And it might have given them some attention in the short term but here's what those are growing realization and that is that he is using this for political gain and he just called a special session.
Of the state legislature that ended in 46 minutes because it was a ridiculous thing to do I mean that's special session with the pass the constitutional amendment.
To ban something that's already illegal in Florida and luckily the legislature saw right through it.
What he should be focused on is what he can do to help stimulate the economy in the gulf region and just like I said a week ago we offered eleven specific ideas of things that can be done.
The stimulate job growth -- -- -- -- Turns it around on you -- remarkably CEO immediately says.
Well -- -- drill baby drill hole and I and you'd be careful -- be careful and look to prove right -- Well here's the bottom line it's not about drilling are not drilling it's about whether you want America to continue to buy more oil from Hugo Chavez and unstable and unfriendly countries.
Or do you wanna produce more of it ourselves that's what the debate is about if you don't want to draw -- the Gulf of Mexico -- show me where you're gonna get more domestic production.
-- that you don't have more domestic production that means you're gonna have to might buy more from somebody else so what you're really -- those who are against offshore drilling.
In the Gulf of Mexico or drilling anywhere for that matter what they're basically saying is they want our country to be more dependent on other countries.
For our energy I'd be happy to have that debate -- anybody.
-- -- On what happens after November -- let's say if if he were to defeat you.
Do you think as an independent he would be voting with Republicans.
In the senate.
Democrats would lead and -- Well first of all he's told the Wall Street Journal himself he's now had two important conversations -- Harry Reid the so clearly we know where he's leaning in that regard an honest public policy positions.
He's become increasingly indistinguishable from the democratic leadership in Washington DC that's why keep telling people this election as a choice.
If you like the direction of our country you like the policies that are coming out of Washington DC I'm not your candidate there's two other people running and you should vote for one of them.
But if you want your next US senator here in Florida to be somebody that's gonna go to Washington and act as a check and balance on the direction this administration is taking us.
I'm the only candidate is running that's going to do that so.
I think you know obviously governor Crist in this election needs to tell us number one.
You know what -- those conversations and Harry -- about the number number two the most important thing is who is he going to vote for for majority leader is he gonna vote for senator McConnell or is he gonna vote for senator Reid.
That is a very important position it's a very important decision the next US senator from Florida is going to have to make.
I'll tell you right now I'm not voting for Harry Reid and I think Charlie Crist is.
