Do the unions have to change absolutely.

In the theme of that with collective bargaining the heart of collective bargaining has to be around student achievement in improving student achievement.

Politicians who want to com there's a huge appetite out there to behave differently.
Folks want better results for children.
These collective bargaining agreements haven't worked up for the adults or or for the children and so there's an opportunity here I think to go to different way to do it in a collaborative way to do it together.

It hasn't worked for adults or for children and we have to work together.
Why would differ what -- the governor of Wisconsin and here I've had some very candid conversations that I think collective bargain can be a tool.
To greater student achievement to lead us where we need to go in -- -- conference we had about a dozen districts.
They had innovative breakthrough contracts they've done some pretty radical things and guess what.

-- achievement is way up and so I think where he I may differ I could do differ is I think collective bargaining can be part of the solution.
When folks on all sides of the table are willing to behave with a very different ways.
And it at the heart of that work at the heart of those relationships has to be what is this doing to help students to feel graphic -- I'd I'd take he going Beckham -- British -- what is my way to talk to teachers from around the country and when they call.

I think so much of what happened is teachers have been I think I believe absolutely -- fairly teachers have been demonized.
And I think teachers are the unsung heroes in our society today.
I think teachers to extraordinarily difficult work complex work -- often very challenging circumstances often without all the resources they need.
Family structure is and this cohesive it used to be -- children come to school with many many different issues.
That -- it is often not just a teacher but a mentor -- parent role model.
And I think -- -- country we undervalued teachers we under invest in them and I don't think we can do enough to support in reward in and -- great teachers do not have to work every day.
