A -- all -- primaries including a very important primary that's taken place right now in Delaware.
Where the establishment Republicans -- come out strongly against a woman indoors.
By Sarah Palin.
Christine O'Donnell is running for the senate seat once held by Joseph Biden and she joins us now Christine great to see again.
Likewise thank you for having me tonight first of all I -- it could polls close I believe Greg if I'm wrong I think they close at eight in Delaware have you heard -- -- about who's leading.
I I asked not to be told him the only pole I care about is the -- they announcement at the official.
Not so you know the polls yesterday were very exciting they had -- to have that there are a lot of undecided so we're still biting our nails here but.
I'm encouraged because you know people didn't think that we could get the firing you said it best in your opening and mean.
What the establishment is throwing at me it's an honor to be insulted with the same until they used to -- Ronald Reagan -- Thought well it's why and why is it Kristi why do you think Republicans hate you so much are these establishment Republicans.
The establishment Republicans have lots -- their way they've abandoned the principles on which not only our party was founded.
But our country was founded limited government low taxation free enterprise.
And what my campaign is about is returning the political process back to that -- so we're kind of challenging their power and you know when I first in my hand during one of the things that they would go on the radio and say is it's not -- turner she hasn't been anointed.
Well that's this obnoxious sense of entitlement that it it's someone to turn to serve rather than.
-- of the people want to represent them I can't tell you how humbling it stand going to the polls today.
And no exaggeration people coming up to me with tears in their eyes saying.
We are gonna be heard again.
We're we're counting on you to be our voice in Washington and you know that's very humbling in any such an honor and I think that's why.
The party and has turned as hard as it has.
But tomorrow open mind as he got a lot of work to do let's put -- this behind -- we got a winning message yet to take that message to the independence and the Democrats.
Make sure that we win in November because.
Since this is a special election for the seat once held by Joseph -- I can be sworn in immediately.
And serving in the lame duck session -- Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are gonna have but they're just they're gonna try to ram down this poor loser last minute liberal agenda down.
Yeah definitely had suggested that that might happen you have between between November and January the Republicans win let.
Let me just throw out some of these charges though -- and again these -- level not by Democrats but -- The Republican establishment and and -- -- guy Mike Castle by the way is is answer pretty liberal voting record on a lot of issues.
That -- -- vote conservative on or at least have pledged your your vote to be conservative and that's why Sarah Palin.
Has endorsed you.
But the the head of the GOP party in Delaware Tom Ross said she is not viable for any office.
Any office in the state of -- around.
I'm assuming that includes dog catcher -- that that was pretty tough stuff Bryan Walsh.
Who -- their head of the Republican senate committee said you have a disturbing pattern.
Dishonest behavior and among other things he mentioned the fact that you reported an income of 6000 dollars last year.
And wonder how good -- got along with an income of only 6000 -- how do you answer that one charge at 6000 dollar charge.
Well -- you know why you know why they said that Ronald Reagan was un electable as well they said that Ronald Reagan's struggled with his finances as well.
But that's why I can relate to the voters my Republican opponent has lived off of that a government.
A taxpayer funded paycheck for over four decades.
He doesn't know what it's like to wonder if you're going to be able to balance your checkbook at the end of the month because he's been living on the taxpayer's time.
What the voters -- -- and I'm so honored to earn their trust and support.
Is that -- I've struggled.
But I have worked hard and I made the sacrifices I needed.
To come through to the other side and I'm stronger as a result I can relate to what they're going through it and I believe that that's why.
Now that's why they trusted me and these are difficult times I work for non profit organizations they're the first ones to cut their media and marketing budget.
So and so that's why he only made 6000 dollars last year.
Well that was the income that I had to report on the FB CM -- little bit more than that but in terms of what had to be record reported on that financial -- not the other you know that proves that I can.
I can stretch a dollar and I'll do that with your taxpayer dollars in Washington you think okay.
OK the other the other thing that is mentioned in this weekly the weekly standard -- after you of course Bill Kristol.
In particular are.
All we've we've we've addressed all this stuff on her website at this point -- the polls closing 45 minutes at them what point.
I just just to get that one other issue out -- everything -- see just just the one other issue did you or did you not go to Princeton university at all.
I took an undergraduate course there -- -- what what's the point can I let.
Related to a lawsuit got -- -- -- -- -- -- says the lawsuit says ms.
As well the challenge -- our last minute attempt at a masters degree from Wednesday and he would have created so we know that lawsuit suggests automatically -- ten.
It's the last now I think that they're not -- the last minute attempt the balloon thinking.
-- I think and why is anything why he voted for cap and trade.
Why isn't he saying why he voted for yet another stimulus bill.
I mean come on we gotta talk about how we're gonna get private sector jobs back.
In Delaware well before you do that you're gonna have to win in the general election assuming that you -- in the primary today.
That Republican again the establishment Republicans about whom I spoke a lot in the beginning here.
They say that you would not be as good in his state like Delaware which has kind of a moderate to liberal.
-- as as the establishment Republican candidate what do you say to that.
Well you know they said that I couldn't come this far in the primary either.
And his legal up and down this state winner earning the support of many people one woman that I thought the polls today.
That tonight officially asked me about she's now I can't vote trio and I just about to thank you and she said.
I registered Democrat I couldn't be more angry about that and I am today.
So -- Have a broad spectrum of support.
Of the people who want their voice heard in Washington.
The people who are frustrated.
With the anti establishment.
Or with the with the establishment -- Did so far out of touch with the voter so I believe that our messages.
Resonating across the board all right well best of luck to Christine by the way we should note that we have -- thank you O'Donnell's opponent in the primary Mike Castle a chance to appearance scoreboard several times.
To no avail so let's.
