That allow for better tickets sales at the end of the day right before the game shouldn't those rules.
Be really looked dead end and maybe -- somewhat because of new technology.
Well our hope is that is that everybody will will enjoy an NFL game at the stadium which is really the best place to -- To enjoy that experience.
Fact is that.
That the black -- rules were put into place for a very specific reason that was to make sure that our stadiums are full and that's what our teams count on in order to -- do their business.
But again that because of things like stub -- -- all -- last minute sales now.
That you didn't have before before you had to rely on scalpers that were just you know.
Hanging around this stadium now you can do it on -- and and millions of people have access to tickets -- before only a couple -- hundred people had access to.
Well people always had access to tickets in the -- those marketplaces always existed.
They they typically existed on an illegal basis prior to this stuff but now that -- -- -- there and it could affect the -- for many many years.
So no rules changes on blackout.
No we're not expected to go all right well let's talk more generally about how the NFL is doing.
And it's still one of the best franchises in the world and certainly in terms of sports.
What kind of problems -- are you experiencing.
Beyond what we just mention of -- because of the downward economy right now.
Well typically typically it's ticket sales that were the most concerned about that's why we're here in Pittsburgh kicking off the season.
Ed and doing it and it didn't really strong fashion could have a great show here with Tim McGraw the Black Eyed Peas.
It's going to be something that's gonna be seen nationally at 8 PM eastern time.
And that's gonna get people excited about the about the football season that's really what we're doing here that's what it's all about.
And we have a short season so we want to make sure that we kick it off and in grand style -- people do get excited about the season.
Do buy tickets and -- come to see our team to apply what you've had a lot of offseason activity particularly when you think given Brett Favre story or the Michael -- story.
Those stories must actually help or why you during the season itself now.
Well the NFL now is that it is a 365.
Day a year business.
And and our fans are following us all through the year -- so right after Super Bowl.
Which is -- -- obviously we have the most people watching us.
We go right to the come by and we have the draft shortly thereafter.
There's things going on all year long.
And and we've been taking advantage of the of the fact that fans.
Find the NFL attractive all -- that they that they have an interest in our product they have an interest and our players.
And and then we are able to refocus ourselves so that -- kick off comes around.
We're looking at games again and that's what it's all about today and we gotta run but I got to ask about the network house NFL -- It's doing great are NFL network is is starting to enjoy better distribution this year.
That it ever has were back on Comcast.
We're looking forward to to be an -- million more homes and and on more distribution platforms so we're very happy about NFL network we're delighted they're actually going to be here today going to capture some of the things you won't be able to see on network television.
