Is that some places still what they gave me the old way -- one of those places is none other than Las Vegas one of the hardest hit areas.
Which may finally be finding its way through all this.
Old fashioned system of capitalism.
And from a Las Vegas that we now welcome Wayne Allen room he's an entrepreneur -- he's a TV producers sports handicap -- -- -- is that 2008 vice presidential candidate.
For the Libertarian Party and he's the author of the book.
That title alone I'm gonna -- the book for the conscious.
Of a libertarian.
Empowering the citizen revolution with god guns.
Gambling -- tax cuts.
I love it -- it's a great sounding book I have to admit I haven't read it yet but I'm gonna go out -- And so did I get it about right the key here is if you outlaw failure -- outlawing success essentially as well.
He had about just outlawing failure David I think they're outlawing capitalism that's the point.
Of the commentary I wrote yesterday my website root for America dot com and what I tried to point out was when I woke up yes that picked up the newspaper.
And the news was grim here in Las Vegas it was station casinos close to bankruptcy Riviera missing -- -- close to bankruptcy.
-- missing they're payments close to bankruptcy purpose gaming in bankruptcy.
Barely hanging on by the skin of their -- With -- -- almost go and under a lot -- apple sent Las Vegas Sands.
On the verge close no one's quite sure -- as close to bankruptcy.
The biggest developer in Las Vegas roads filing bankruptcy for 31 companies.
Here's a lot to capitalism -- -- -- Las Vegas now it's all bad.
Right now but I guess -- we still practice capitalism.
It'll all work out in the long run.
We're not asking for bailouts.
We don't need no stake in bailouts in Las Vegas and and frankly I would love to see the president tried opera bailout for voters IDs at.
And -- time for city you know.
Well don't forget we have legalized prostitution in certain parts and about a so perhaps we should be giving hookers a bailout so I don't know where does it indicate that that's the question what would go back.
-- remains a good thing here as what what we will see hopefully if you and I are right.
Through the example of Las Vegas is that.
Bankruptcy and failures -- a very important purpose in our free market system and we will see it played out there.
Well you know I wrote my first book is my seventh book the conscience of the libertarian my first book what's called by the way.
The joy of failure it was about the fact that I created.
Hundreds of businesses and business ideas in my life 90% of them failed but all it took was one or two good ones to make -- self made millionaire.
That was the point in my book back in 1997.
Over a decade ago and I've enjoyed a lot of success since then and guess what -- that a lot of failure to.
Oxford doors take risk risk and failure are part of the system.
And the key to success is learning from your mistakes getting back up on that horse and go for a ride and hit a winner with a -- -- alert for the failure.
It can't happen of government doesn't allow our failure capitalism cannot work here in the -- it's working because guess -- Sales in residential housing are doubled from a year ago all of those houses and -- voters that failed.
-- in foreclosure but now sales are going crazy -- the government of prop up prices up so people looking for a new house at a great price.
Couldn't have gotten it I think it's great for some people and that's the -- -- capitalism one guy's lost.
Is another guy's victory and you know what it's worked for a couple hundred years I think -- keep working Wayne -- had so many questions and and ideas that your statement to bring up but the first one is.
Why were you running for vice president why our president.
Well you know -- 2012.
I -- the prohibitive front runner okay your heart.
Presidential nomination battle plan and it because your element talk -- way and I got to tell you they've got the gift of gab but.
What your point is so -- that is the lessons that an individual learns from failure which I'm sure you and I have talked to enough business leaders to know that they learned even more from failure and they do from.
From success very often.
But it's the same role that applies for the society in general and it's even more important for the society because it clears out the underbrush.
And it strengthens those who remain correct.
And and I believe that -- government is so pathetic.
At picking winners and losers number one they always pick the loser and I got that all it didn't work did after all work it was a loser.
Barack Obama I guarantee you David -- -- he's taken just happen to be big time campaign contributor you know yeah.
Diets weight I used to cover Latin American Latin America -- judge.
As a whole not on the basis of how good you are but in -- basis of your connections.
So these people would fail all the time they keep getting promoted just because they got a cousin or brother who's -- minister of the interior or minister of transportation.
And we see why those countries remain under developed.
Because the people rise to the top are not necessary the people with quality it's the people with connections and as we see now with a TARP program.
Guess who's getting to bail -- the banks who have the connections to people who have the connections if -- gets any cool where incidents that Goldman Sachs and partners or are part of all this bailout.
-- is it any coincidence that almost everyone Obama's needs his administration cheats on their taxes.
We're becoming a banana republic David -- Zimbabwe.
Where headed for 15100%.
Daily -- -- we get out.
I'm playing the way we don't have much -- -- I just -- -- -- how do we get out of that.
Yet cut spending and get cut taxes and you'll let the genius the -- really it's a bunch partnership shine through you let the people like -- the jobs.
Keep more of their own money and you let the private sector spend the money you don't take -- wait for them by making government.
The most inefficient.
Company in the world keep all the money that's been going -- -- Only -- I agree with you that that's that's the way that you can't get -- but -- -- about the political situation we have a president who clearly doesn't believe as you and I do.
In the power of the market to clear out the underbrush.
We have a congress that feels basically the same and frankly we have a lot of corporations.
That have config.
So that I don't know if they could survive without it so how do we here's my answer -- he has this habit that -- form.
My answer elect a third party candidate who's not beholden to corporate welfare.
The reasonable libertarian and no longer a Republican after -- a lifelong Republican is there isn't a heck of a lot of difference between the two parties Republicans talk a good game.
But once elected they increase the taxes they increase the spending.
They expand government they hire more government employees they do all the same things Democrats do but just a little bit smaller -- -- the bigger and bigger dumb and dumber.
Republicans expect government had Democrats expanded even more we -- I wanna say one more thing I got -- -- I don't have a pension.
I'm not you ignore -- small business owner on the home schooled that common sense of television I have no pension and I have no health care benefits for life.
Why does the government using my taxpayer money.
Took to bailout.
The unions that run General Motors Ford and Chrysler what their employees get paid a 160000.
Here -- pensions and health care benefits for life.
To drill offender with a -- that it doesn't make sense no wonder they're going bankrupt but -- taken the whole country down with me and you.
And all -- that -- I'm -- guess who else gets those fancy pensions everybody works inside the beltway the pay may not be all that great insight about what but you're covered for life and state governments around the country.
From California to New York -- going through the same thing it's those pension funds the fringe benefits that are breaking -- this nation.
David that's what my whole book is about you boiled down my book the conscience of the libertarian all it's about is the fact that if you think the Iraq War was a waste of money.
You have no idea how much money being wasted every day.
By state local and federal employees and get Barack Obama's it's -- for economic disaster hits the hire more federal plays with more state employees more local boy it's a disaster -- Dwyane -- can you be a regular on scoreboard we watch here all the time all right.
Any -- David anytime I'll be there Wayne -- and -- -- from Las Vegas thank you very much when great to see yet thanks in.
