But thank god we're able to rebound within five days and get open not just trust us this story is right what happens I mean to tell me about that morning and and there.
What was your store like stores flooded there was water all over equipment was damaged food was no good any longer.
So we basically had you know pull together and get everything back in the top top shape what did it cost -- I'd say it cost -- about.
Fifty grand to get back Howell had to repair or how much damage cleaning.
Did you have insurance that we did have insurance but obviously that doesn't -- You know it was a process is to go pray that no you have to front the money that you you hope to be that you're gonna get -- -- you don't really know you don't take you have 50000 dollars sitting around to our.
Yes thank god you're able we all pull together and you know leverage our resources.
And get it back in open and also in addition.
You know we really wanted to do for the community more than anything because they -- hit so hard and all the other stores weren't open quick.
So we were able to open for the meaning they -- really get a meal in the neighborhood and Howard Beach.
Did you consider not -- opening at any point.
We do we wanted to open it was the right thing to do we felt from the neighborhood for us overall being knew we -- gonna let something like this put us out of business there's no way after all the time and after that we did.
To get it up and running.
-- still in the beginning stages what hurdles have you hit so far -- has anything come along that's made you question your decision.
Nothing at all.
It's too early to tell I'm sure there's going to be hurdles than -- -- but.
My problem right now it's location just looking for that getting the perfect spot for the first time in -- thing.
-- that's really tough because that's one of the major decisions that can make or break.
-- and in fact that's going to be anything that we focus on when you guys come back next week because it is such a huge issue when your franchise owner picking that location.
You have to all right so you know.
Say to people out there who are watching this today.
And are thinking about doing this I mean what what what would you warn them about.
Now it's -- the best advice thinking give them is you know be prepared to have steep learning curve in addition.
Be open minded and you know.
There's pluses and minuses and be able to pull together.
And really just get your time schedule in place because you wanna make sure that you're efficient and you build out now because time is money and you know that you -- have too much money.
Yeah that's right good trio is would come along and make you turn around and and stop doing this and go -- and stop in your tracks.
