We do we are up for the quarter.
We are up so far for the year.
Many your consent the second half of the year is going to be somewhat flat how do you how do you respond to that concern.
Well you know I think actually this second half of the year from where we sit and actually will look really good on -- earnings side so we're pretty positive on things going forward.
There's going to be some bumps in the road for -- but we we think that corporate profits are gonna continue to get stronger and we we think that there's some really decent upside from here.
Okay say your you're -- you're -- positioning your -- to -- and able to -- and for the second half of the year go for equities go for the markets of the same time where do we go.
We've seen some hot sectors this year so -- that again perform -- and that is housing that is the financials do we stay with what we know.
For the second half of 2013.
Well we really do like the consumer discretionary areas well as well as the housing sector that you mentioned of course we do like financials.
We've we think that you know you can find really good stocks in any particular -- so would it really amounts to is doing your homework finding the stocks that fit your criteria.
And sticking with those over a longer time period.
Don't get swayed by the you know that the one week one month charts -- or what happens on a daily basis really kind of take a longer term approach to things in stick with it.
O'Brien what do you say to those that are concerned about.
The housing market we had our I have -- and -- obviously come on the show yesterday he was dribble especially that is his business.
-- but there are some concerns with the district rising -- -- little -- that we're looking at a bubble in the housing market and I know that you like housing is a sector.
What do you say to those concerns though that there could be a little bit of a cooling of the housing sector in the second half.
Well it's tough to say you know I think that right now we're we're we're seeing is really kind of a low inventory so maybe as housing prices kind of approach levels back in 0607.
People feel a little bit more comfortable it creates it as sort of a wealth of fat but.
I think what we're really seeing kind of the trend in the overall is that.
You know finally home builders are in an environment where that the company that the houses that they're building.
The prices are rising faster than costs our -- and then you've got a situation.
Where you know that the average consumer is kind of deferred maintenance on their property.
You know why put money into a declining asset over the last few years now that -- -- Well that's it should because that leads into I know that your your -- bring it to express now I get them really quick and because there are housing -- they're all related in different ways maybe it's because of that maintenance issue.
One out of that first was you have right here as a foreign companies Mohawk Industries may be as we start to kind of get our Reno wallets back together what is happening enforcement and -- like -- Pacific another builder.
And then -- once you've got that the three names all tied to housing here.
Right and I think it you know what I mentioned before is that it when you go into a pier one or or do something you know involving your house it's generally not an overnight process and nobody goes in and says.
You know what I'm gonna refurbish my entire house and one day.
So it's a trend that has this you know housing gets better in game continues to plug along.
That we think you're gonna get a recurring theme where where people are gonna start posting -- profits.
People are gonna be a little -- less concerned about putting my own money into their house and they may redo their flooring or are.
Our standard -- Or get out in -- new doesn't take it to handle the day get an -- hang on the wall from Pier 1 Imports that was every -- -- but.
