And -- call less than six months the Affordable Care Act will mandate.
That every American have health insurance by it get it had a from an employer or pay a penalty.
But according to a report by insurance quotes dot com 64%.
Of uninsured Americans almost two thirds of -- Have not decided if they will purchase health insurance.
By that January 1 deadline Chevy Choi and it's my health and human services deputy secretary here to weigh in on this.
Too expensive most of them say why they get -- get a cheaper between now and January once having.
Well thanks for having me -- but it's certainly not gonna get any cheaper and and all of the studies are are showing that that it's going to be more expensive premiums are going up and it's a real problem.
And that's -- two thirds of Americans.
Not only don't have a plan for purchasing health insurance what you said but don't know if there even -- -- try they -- there -- just reluctant to step into those waters.
Now the government will provide subsidies particularly based on your income level but particularly to low -- -- America -- to go out and buy it through these exchanges -- And I wondered though if this doesn't just begin to work out come January the first and they can't get people enrolled.
Don't you think that Democrats will be lobbying for more money to make sure people go out and buy it.
Well that then that's true and and the Democrats are -- and more money for implementation.
The American people seem not -- like this -- or not so inclined to give more money for it in the Republicans certainly are not inclined to give more money for it but in terms of the subsidies it's hard to go much higher on the subsidies sincerity -- up to people in some areas where that are making 90000 dollars a year -- suddenly levels are high and that Democrats are saying well -- -- so it's not a problem but somebody's pay for those subsidies and those -- those those people are us.
So -- you know the costs are higher in the some of these are higher raw pain for both.
Well what do you make of health and human services secretary Kathleen Sebelius you're talking about.
Money for the implementation.
Of the health care law she was pushing for congress pushed back.
And then she basically went out to health industry executives and nonprofit groups.
To try and get them to help if you well with -- implementation which did include actual.
Money what do you make of that it again if you're not gonna get the money from the government shouldn't we be happy that it might be coming from private sources.
But actually -- unfairly a couple of than than the law of the land say that it.
Congress does not provide funding -- something you can't go out and solicit.
People to go into this kind of thing because -- you have to remember that health and human services -- where I work is what the biggest regulator for most of these companies that are in the health.
And the health world not just insurance but also in the in the drug world.
And so if there.
Health and human services secretary is going to say -- give money to this cause and maybe we'll look favorably of upon the way we regulate you that that makes me very uncomfortable.
What about the blame that's going on a -- -- because again this is the centerpiece.
Of the president's first term Democrats push for it and now it's not really working out even -- senator baucus called it up.
Impending train rack but again they're not willing to take the blame or even try and fix some of things that are wrong so far.
Now that senator baucus who is obviously one on one of the fathers of legislation called him boulder train wreck but you have people like secretary Sebelius present Obama.
Set the senate majority leader Reid.
Who are out there sort of blaming the Republicans for this saying that -- the Republicans were not giving enough money to implementation -- not giving us more money for implementation.
Lot of money as you know we go to the IRS which a lot of Americans are problem for these days.
And so they're trying to blame someone else but the people are trying to blame are the ones who've been warning about all of the possible train -- that we've been talking -- all of the live flaws in this legislation we've been warning all along.
Another saying well it's your fault -- -- the ones have been warning about it I don't think that's gonna fly.
We will see how it flies because again that's healthy changes have to be in place -- October the first and everything first and then January the first.
Look out Teddy thanks you billionaire is great affairs.
