-- of the folks who make up that -- -- that during that Republican democratic bipartisan thing.
Well -- bipartisan.
In a bipartisan way.
Closing out the voting public the American public -- public hearings they're doing a behind closed doors are all that's missing I suspect is the cigars smoked.
But we're gonna give you a little insight into why and what's going on a new CBS news poll shows a stunning 80% of all Americans right now.
With Washington DC 80%.
That's the American state of mind and the figure includes 30% of folks who are well there.
They're downright angry and I suspect.
We know a few of those folks who are downright angry.
This is this -- -- that bipartisan group of senators down on the border today they've been working on immigration reform you know hearing all points of views.
Now they've they've they know where they're going they've been going there all along it's basically the Obama plan.
Member senator Chuck Schumer says he's hopeful they'll present a bill when congress comes back from Easter break all rested and ready.
That will be on April 8.
Interestingly they've been working on this deal behind closed doors and without opened hearings.
And is beginning to be some push back six Republican.
Senators six members of the Judiciary Committee.
I've written a letter to chairman pat Leahy urging him to extend the time devoted to considering immigration reform.
You know so they can actually read the legislation does -- start to sound like just about everything that President Obama has touched and the Democrats have pushed.
Well ahead of the union that represents the ice agents immigration and customs enforcement Chris -- He's publicly calling out the gang of -- for not including his agents.
In talks and immigration reform.
We'll be talking by the way through -- Chris crane here Friday so be with us for that.
But here's why everyone should be concerned about the gang of eight secrecy it's closed door and and rather.
Well -- think.
Imperious approach to legislation.
The amount of time and the money being spent on immigration lobbying.
Is absolutely stunning you and I may have been closed out.
But let me assure you lobbyists.
Have got a direct conduit.
For -- -- Washington DC the gang of eight this president.
And according to the Sunlight Foundation there have been.
Get ready for that eight.
Over the course time since 2007 -- since 2007.
-- -- That was the last -- a big push for immigration reform you remember well.
All of these 8000 lobbying reports.
Six -- 112 of them involved you guessed it.
600 and trial of 8000.
Those lobbying organizations and all forms of spent.
More than one and a half billion dollars.
To open the borders -- kicked open the immigration system for illegal immigrants.
And drew create -- -- program trying to and a effectively so since week.
Have all been frozen out of -- or whatever is happening in -- and they've been successful and influencing.
But -- -- only troubling part of this in the Sunlight Foundation report.
It turns out that all but one of the top twenty business sectors active in the immigration lobbying effort.
All but one -- looser immigration law.
Groups like schools and colleges are pushing.
For open borders for amnesty for the DREAM Act.
Computer software companies lobbying for more high tech workers if everybody's life.
Easier the problem is it isn't about the national interest as it.
So if anybody tries to tell you.
That this bipartisan group of senators.
This president this congress this senate.
Art under the bomb of the most powerful lobbying effort in.
They simply don't know the facts and the facts are these nineteen out of twenty.
Sectors are pushing for open borders for amnesty for the DREAM Act and this deal is cooked folks.
No matter what else you think what -- you want the truth is.
People are out buying the results.
That's the Washington game that's -- 80% of -- folks don't think a lot of the way things are going in Washington why congress has about an eight.
Favorability rating and we still can't figure out how that 8% seem to -- this game on immigration reform is rigged and make no mistake.
It is a game it is a fraud.
For example -- -- some of the questions and even being asked -- -- answer after so many years of illegal immigration.
Why would we need -- any more unskilled workers at all since 60% of the illegal immigrants and in the country.
Don't have a high school education.
Don't have the skill.
And -- ours is a highly trained knowledge based economy.
Why in the world are we doing everything in our power to bring in more highly skilled immigrant workers from all over the world why.
And if the Federal Reserve.
Can set interest rates and monetary policies.
That are conditional upon upon unemployment rates for example.
Big -- we.
Phase that we're going through now.
-- the bond buying.
Good securities buying program ends.
When we see out of -- six and a half percent.
Then why doesn't the citizenship and immigration services agency said immigration policy based.
On unemployment rates that is when we have high unemployment we slowdown immigration where we have -- -- unemployment we raise immigration.
-- -- In order do that we'd have to have control.
Of both immigration and our borders.
And that's simply isn't the case and it's not likely that.
And oh yes do you find it curious -- -- the king of -- the president democratic and Republican leaders in congress -- Never say how many -- they want to have issued to illegal immigrants.
That if they were so confident their only eleven million illegal immigrants in the country.
That would be the number they would use.
Units -- Now.
On now don't now.
We'll be right back.
