A new plan to push through the keystone XL pipeline and many -- help the project would win approval.

After yet another -- view last week -- from the State Department.

The president still neglecting to give it the go ahead -- -- just call off entirely.

Which brings us to Nebraska congressman Lee Terry and his big idea his game plan take President Obama.

Out of the -- entirely with the new draft bill that doesn't even require a presidential permit to start building.

Here's -- is the man with the plan.

Congressman Lee Terry.

Thanks for joining us congressman Terry -- this strikes me as turnabout is fair -- -- play because President Obama.

Loves to circumvent congress and just have the EPA do things on its own without you guys approve it.

Well in the EPA is try dinner fear in this process before and that's given that president.

Even more power to delay I wrote this bill because I'm tired of the delays.

And just to put the delays in perspective.

Lewis and Clark walked the Louisiana purchase and 1141.

Days.

Americans one World War II when 1366.

Days.

And the Keystone Pipeline has been awaiting the president's approval for 1000.

361.

Days while -- -- -- -- world war yes sooner than the president has acted on this from.

That's extraordinary -- it may be you also would find it hard to turn thumbs up on a cut -- up a pipeline when.

Hollywood superstars are are whispering -- -- they want you to nick sit.

Now -- what do you think though will present Obama approve the pipeline you obviously must think he won't forget ready to do this.

Well I just see more delays.

The way that this State Department setting this up date they didn't file the -- -- for comments what's.

Kind of triggers a process here.

But the way they've -- up just allows more foot dragging in more extensions and more requests for information so that's why felt a lot of my colleagues.

Including Democrats on the other side -- it was necessary to take control of the situation.

Now and that's why we will.

-- a bill that just makes congress the power to redeem it.

Now that's a price we've got to cosponsored I believe were Democrats you've -- nine other Democrats on board.

And yet I feel like this bill let's talk about smack in the face to the president how did you gonna -- some -- Well because the -- understand on though a lot of votes were part regardless of party understand how important is pipeline is to our national security our energy security.

And frankly isn't it just better that we send it through a pipeline from Canada than putting it on ships from -- Saudi Arabia or bends away -- for goodness sakes.

Is there any part of you that thinks President Obama.

Might be relieved to have the decision taken out of his hands so that his Hollywood friends will get upset -- Up.

Dennis I think you've really hit on -- good point he current and we'll see how loudly the president screams.

Because the reality is he doesn't then have to be the one to choose between as -- labor friends.

And this environmental friends.

Congress can make that decision form obviously when we've been waiting -- 1631.

Days for permit approval.

Maybe that's what he's been trying to tell us all along is that taken the responsibility.

For the permanent he has somehow I kind of doubt it given other.

Methods in this administration but tell what a fantastic idea -- -- -- congressman -- never may be heard from again and once you fail -- -- if you fail but I wish you luck sir thanks for coming on money.

Well.

Well thank you in this country needs that pipeline it sure does sir thanks a lot.
