We'll look at it -- -- our next guest says college is not preparing young people for the real world and you can make it went out it.

Dale Stephens -- Syria is the -- all.

You go education that's a book this all about how to succeed outside it without college -- -- the program.

You go to college I went to college and dropped out after six months because called the lousy investment.

Wouldn't make it -- Tesco allows investment it didn't make sense to spend four years institution listening to lectures paying it.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars and and the average investors with -- -- thousand dollars in debt.

But I could be out in the real world doing real things.

Having real accomplishments that could you get the educational that you required to do real things outside of college.

They're always going to be certain professions that that require college -- is.

And it's on I'm not thing that didn't know when to go to college that would be as -- -- -- that everyone should.

But I think everyone needs to think and stop and think long and hard about whether or not it makes sense stability at university at the moment the -- thinking is.

All Americans should go to college everybody is college material I would contest that quite frankly I agree that's the case that.

That's the way things all of us what people have been told in America today you are trying to get him out of college are you encouraging people to drop out.

I -- encouraging people to to drop out and and and the book provides resources to help people who got how they can.

Begin taking apart the different parts of the college experience and -- those things out that's cool so how to find -- how to -- the contact how to build -- network all the things at school provides.

Outside and then -- if you think you can have an impact you think people actually gonna do this because that for a couple of generations they have.

I really hope so and and and and I hope so because it it.

-- our future depends on people who are spending for years going in the institution graduate with -- thousand dollars in debt or and entering themselves to they're doing.

Things that I think -- -- Rockefeller Lincoln and Washington never went to college are but are you getting pushed back from the education system any reaction to what you're telling young students.

I've -- no surprise that I have actually started working with colleges and universities who want to change their model who recognize that there are now.

Less expensive and more meaningful ways to learn outside of institutions.

And institutions wanted change because they're they're businesses and anyone who exits the the costs isn't going down as it now I -- up eight or 9% Matthew you -- -- college costs to a halt.

8% last is that right that's right and -- -- up three and 50% since 1980.

It's well we're well ahead of inflation but here's my dilemma with this.

Because it's not really for me about colleges about people who want to have knowledge that I find a lot of people who -- -- Greece is what the -- hung out before your thing got a degree.

But people who actually seek knowledge -- want to improve themselves almost daily.

Do you think dropping out that going to colleges and -- may be using college as a springboard.

I think that those people should should think cautiously about how they wanna act -- -- themselves and in.

Ultimately if you make a conscious choice that you wanna go to college because that's -- an environment that supports you.

More power to -- that's also but what have you done what it's been your experience in the in the workforce what have you done so I -- -- when I was twelve and I was on schooled well -- Chicago homes going slant six years of experience of -- suffered from learning.

And I went to college dropped out and -- -- an organization called on college we provide resources for -- and sellers and basically provide.

Educational program we'll tell you gotta really annoy a whole lot of people -- -- that it was a pleasure having with -- -- Stephens and what's the name of the book again hacking your education tonight we'll look at it thanks so much that I don't think you.
