Well meanwhile the president and congress have failed as you all -- to reach a deal on spending cuts and now the automatic cuts are gonna be kicking in and while.

Overall federal spending actually will still increase there are certain cuts that will directly affects small businesses that have government contracts one of them.

Is a security company that works with federal agencies called trinity protection services.

Its CEO and president -- Hollis joins us now -- -- what have you been told if anything by some of these federal agencies you do business with.

Well David fortunately.

For us our largest.

Client is the Department of Defense DOD.

And we learn within the last 24 hours.

That we won't be directly affected those employees will not be directly affected.

Meaning they can come to work.

But what we also don't know is some of the government employees who do things like process are -- That allow us to get paid and paid those officers.

We don't know what the status of both got anything to -- so so we're safe on one hand and on the other there's still a lot of -- -- So your security personnel and I guess Caesar like security guards and so forth that -- to -- -- absolutely they will keep their jobs.

But they cannot get -- because that person writing the checks may not be there right.

Yeah and enough in the whole deal is with the defense the DOD contract that we carry.

It's.

The critical infrastructure or restricted access buildings so we can't just not -- up putting these are restricted ask exits buildings.

However what we've learned is as part of this -- sequestered sequestration.

Idea that some of the government workers will either get laid off or furlough or maybe not come to work -- some of the work -- some of the processing of the workload.

And and most particularly invoices and that's what that we don't know where they stay I don't know her hit show up it's that I asserted it kills the -- there's nothing worse for business and -- -- now are you.

If you don't know it must be difficult to make plans but are -- changing.

Any of your business plans as a result of not knowing if the checks are gonna be rolling in.

Well our business plan it is sort of on a day to day we understand.

That right now congress can a make a decision they can agree on some things in the White House.

And maybe not have -- these.

Restrictions all these roll backs take place.

I understand that may -- homeland security and our Coast Guard -- their immediate effects but would DOD there may be some room that they some time that we have that they can make a quick decision that won't affect us because once these guys start.

The furlough in and they can't so they they knew that won't go to the cleaners they won't go the grocery -- and and this whole things -- to trickle down.

Who knows what -- Changes changes -- I'm Greg I want should be real honest with me now much you're actually honest would -- -- just you wouldn't be here talking.

Yeah.

Which would you really prefer if you had a choice between a government contract in a private contract.

Would you take the private contract over the government contract.

-- in the words of Marco Rubio.

How happy that -- -- They're they're pros and cons -- that would both their pros and cons with both.

It it in in normal environment the government even though the margins -- a lot lower.

It's it's a more secure contracts there -- rules they'll just kick you off of a contract because her friend wants to come -- you'll there there rules that set up.

On the other hand on commercial in the commercial environment.

That it's it's but the margins are -- lot higher.

But -- -- subject to go on a thirty day notice -- you know you just that the -- that someone new start and he -- -- -- or his contract to become more relief so it's 61 half -- the other what I -- right now.

Is that the commercial environment that's sort of withdrawn in our industry safe for say the -- shopping centers they seem to -- -- -- line with more security but everyone else's is a wait and see -- -- which he puts us at saint.

-- puts us in the same environment you know great economist once said there are no solutions are only trade offs in this seems to be perfect example of that.

Absolutely great policy Greg even pros like you have to take a drink of water during a live interviews sometimes Greg -- good to see you my friend thank you very much.

Good to see even thank you to the -- -- OK best elected here are meanwhile.
