Away -- speaking of Italian fellows from announcing new investments and jobs to help boost auto -- manufacturing in Indiana.

Jeff Flock live from the Chrysler event it's enough Kokomo Indiana just.

At the crushes -- -- by the way but that's just a side point I've got a former Catholic you're actually with me Mike Pence.

About the governor of Indiana any unique position take a look at this by the way behind us -- big news -- for Chrysler today and you're hearing this would be creation of what.

This will be the largest transmission manufacturing plant in the world.

-- right here in Indiana and it just proving once again when it comes manufacturing.

Indiana's open for business that is big news.

It's particularly since you took over -- state house.

I gotta ask you don't have you voted for sequester -- unique position now a state governor him who was in the congresswoman sequester was approved by the White House says you're gonna get off first of all did you ever think that would come visit us.

Well we all hoped it would certainly the purpose this does sequestration was to guarantee that for any increase in the debt ceiling there'd be a dollar for dollar.

Spending cut of some -- As I spoke to the president on Monday when we're in Washington DC there's.

There's -- any number of better ways.

To do this.

And I -- want dollar for dollar I think I think look sixteen trillion dollars and more of national debt it's important that Washington DC take steps to put our fiscal house in order.

What frankly like we've been doing here in Indiana and I can say I think one of the reasons why you're seeing an investment.

It's gonna create more than 12100 jobs here in the -- -- because.

Indiana has our fiscal house in order we've been living within our means we've been lowering taxes promoting economic growth trying to lower taxes even more well we are right I think we have such a strong balance sheet in the Hoosier state.

We have an opportunity to invest in roads and schools and still lower the personal income tax rate by ten.

Percent we're working hard to bring that about I've got to ask you about Medicaid expansion.

You're holding the line.

Your your -- Governor Christie and now governor Scott in Florida -- said we're gonna go ahead take -- federal dollars.

You and Governor Walker in in Wisconsin Governor Perry of Texas or hold the -- and we're not doing this tell me want to.

Well let me just say I I really believe that.

That.

Medicaid is a deeply flawed system in its traditional format and know while we're gonna make sure that everyone is eligible to be rolled.

Discovered that could be some 90000 additional -- we are not pursuing.

An expansion of traditional -- it's gonna cost you hundreds of millions of well let it -- that there's there's no question.

But what we have here in Indiana is probably the most innovative consumer driven.

Health care alternative plan in the country it's called the healthy Indiana plan.

What we've said -- Washington DC is look we're we're not interstate and expanding.

Traditional Medicaid in the Hoosier state.

But we are -- the opportunity to renew.

That is consumer driven and in a way that really helps people move the primary care and preventive medicine.

Real quick before we get away on -- on sequestered -- White House says it's gonna collect your state 42 million dollars or sequester it goes through could withstand that.

They're gonna be disaster come Friday or Monday.

Indiana has a very strong balance sheet and we've been working through the details of what all of that will mean.

The administration has says said that they're looking to mitigate that but look this is a great day for Indiana as we talk about public systems and public funding.

The real cure for what ails this country is more jobs and here in Indiana we're celebrating 12150.

New jobs coming to their major stake and I want America -- know.

Indiana's open for business your body speaker Boehner is coming out -- what you go back --
