Utilities powered higher by two tenths of a percent as investors sought safety and yield.

Signs of an improving economy helped boost the industrial sector three tenths of a percent.

Materials were another winner -- about half a percent strength in retail and home builder stocks lifted the consumer discretionary group.

Eight tenths of a percent and the number one sector this week is Telecom services dialing up a gain of 1% and that's where the growth this.
