In our lives we -- many different kinds of things every -- so there's no reason why we can't apply those skills in different jobs.
And as long as we realize that it's acceptable nowadays to change careers and we don't need to be afraid of -- we can rather embrace it.
But common wisdom says that every time you switch careers there starts being very need to -- -- -- -- -- -- Well.
Common wisdom is changing and if you play your cards right.
You can sometimes take a I sideways step into -- new career because you're not entering at the beginning as if you know nothing.
You're starting with a set of skills that you've developed in the course of previous jobs in the course of your education.
So it's all about knowing how to go about making that change so if you do it right.
He really can be successful not just in one career but in many.
How do you explain year career change may be I don't see your lack of experience but you're different experience that you're bringing to the table when -- on a job area.

Or the direction of the company -- the industry that -- and even if somehow it may be going in the wrong direction what you wanna do is try to be.
Positive about what your goals are.
An excited about how you can really make a difference in that new field okay see you explain why -- making them the well.
Yes you make you explain again by showing.
A passion for making the change.
Yeah you and it and a desire to make that change and just by virtue of the fact -- that you're willing to make a change.
Can be seen as a positive it shows that you've got a certain amount of courage and -- it's it shows that you're optimistic.
About what you're going to do.
And it gives you a chance to come in and show that you've got a fresh set of eyes that you can bring into a situation.
So those things are not seen as negative says as they once war right nowadays actually career changes not unusual.
And it's something that people embrace it's a choice not always that compulsion how many times have you changed careers to -- off in your life.
-- -- -- I've changed careers many times and many many times.
You know and at a sightings in you and -- well I I've enjoyed it and that the thing about changing careers is that.
It's often very challenging.
But what I've found in my own career is that when you take on something new something that feels a little daunting.
Those -- the jobs that -- end up being the most rewarding.
So -- I encourage people to be willing to take that step.
But what is stated people who are scared to not only scared because it is scary but the job market's not about -- now.
Well what I can say is the job market is better that was a whole ten years ago.
-- -- and gradually improving it's been gradually improving over the course of the past at least seven to eight years.
And and I agree it is a little scary to change careers and I don't tell anyone to do anything hasty.
You wanna be careful what you want to think through you wanna make sure you do some research talk to people in the fields that you're thinking about changing into.
Do -- -- for informational interviews so do your research do your preparation it's it's really crucial to be prepared.

Make all of -- career changes looked like they tell some sort of narrative rather than being so abrupt.
Well -- you don't necessarily focus on the job title.
What you want to do is focus on the overlapping skills.
Want to focus on the things that are aligned with the direction you wanna move then and if you want to show that you've always accomplish something you want your resume.
To indicate to the reader that this person makes a difference.
And if you make a difference if you've always made a difference in your previous jobs -- I'm probably gonna believe that you can make a difference for me to.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Employers who oftentimes use software to go through all right remains to pick up buying keywords and buzz words.
But.
-- -- that has so many different items on it.
Won't necessarily pick up those buzzwords it's not conducive to what many employers are looking for.
And that's why I encourage my clients when I'm talking to them about changing careers or changing jobs.
To make sure that they're not relying on keywords in a resonate.
But that they're doing -- job search where they themselves are out there trying to connect with people.
And we want a human being to take that -- may have viewers no matter how good it is.
You want to try to get someone to hand it to the right person.
So you need to be out there networking you've got to talk to people it's the most effective way to change jobs to change careers.
By making connections with people.
