-- -- -- eighteen tonight we are joined by.

Prize winning investigative journalist Judy Miller.

Pulitzer Prize winning New York Post on this Michael good -- and national review -- correspondent Kevin Williams think Kevin is also -- End is near and it's gonna be awesome and that's coming up may welcome to all of you pick announced yet this evening -- I'll begin with -- the speaker of the house.

Recording the president's comments he scare tactics why we must get a deal to avoid sequestration because dire straits -- -- Do you believe we think the speaker of the house Boehner saying you know you guys got your tax cut Democrats got a tax increase rather we're done.

Move on well they may think -- done but the fact of the matter is as long as the American people tend to blame Republicans for the sequester.

And that cuts that are going to happen.

Rather than the president he's going to make political hay out of this and it is perfectly understandable.

That he should try and humanize.

This problem by pointing out all of the federal workers and others are gonna lose their jobs could politics on completely understandable -- Michael.

Are people still blaming Republicans for the sequestration because just in the last 24 hours.

Has there been a bit back to the president the Democrats using these scare tactics warning that -- more susceptible to terror teacher layoffs.

Flight delays let's take on where we are right now with that well look.

I do think the president is clearly exaggerating he sent the -- and out to exaggerate I mean it's it's historic his bizarre that he can do this with a straight face the idea that.

You have to have all of -- that is cents the government will collapse if we lose 2.3 percent of the revenue.

-- it's simply not credible that all those dire things would come from this cut which would be spread out over seven or eight months at least.

The second point is you know went when Boehner says you know you got your tax increase you're not gonna get another one.

It was -- way to look at that one is he's basically taking the president has worth -- presents that I want -- balance plan Boehner saying you've got your taxes now it's time for the cuts.

The second thing is I think it Boehner went along with another tax increase after having done -- in January he probably wouldn't be speaker.

Yes that's it used to contending that way -- for me is -- politics as usual.

You guys made a great point what are -- looking at 2.4 percent of cuts why not and it happened and move on.

It's nothing but I'm you know people talk about Republicans being blamed for the -- I think some people might credit the Republicans -- -- -- because that's it looks like.

A pretty good policy it's impossible to -- otherwise you can reductions in the rate of growth.

And I'd like to see this question very true and I think that if you take the case the American people yelling quit a few thousand parasites -- -- -- in Northern Virginia and Washington DC.

-- -- I think maybe they made that yeah limited that -- honest -- another minute on the health of the economy to market it.

The first taken look at cut a lot of people off guard with a negative a contraction.

Climate pace of growth for the US economy.

And most economists skies are predicting a revision.

Upward revision which could be could but this economy is nothing to be excited or or satisfied -- what's not and rather than concentrate on fat which would be I think an effective Republican tactic.

They are walking into a trap this is going to hurt the economy.

And the Republicans are going to be blamed and I don't think these people are parasites air controllers cancer researchers.

First responders are not parasites have people who are gonna lose -- Linda if they're not parasites let's put their wages to a market test received their -- work -- -- -- but they know they're not worth what they're paid which is why they resist putting new which is to a market but I -- They always -- -- problem is that the president is using.

The big picture cuts you know saying again were more susceptible to terror and teachers will get laid off -- -- When really there are things he has discretion to cut like for example secretaries.

Two did.

You know did that headline workers if you will to the teachers and there are a there's a lot of that there are read the list from us senator Coburn earlier -- snow cone machines and spring training practice field -- security if any there are other cuts that -- -- -- it's really about.

But that's why -- didn't.

Right -- yeah.

But the president doesn't want to do that he wants to lobby for tax increases.

And he wants to break the Republicans.

Aren't isn't that why you would think but so far according to the polls is not -- -- to enough people.

The second when I would make a two -- is just.

Think about what the president is saying he's saying we can never cut a penny from the federal government.

So we have a sixteen trillion dollar debt a trillion dollar a year deficit and he's saying we cannot cut we have to tax our way out of -- as well.

If if all that was going to work and create jobs it would have done it by now so he's basically embracing a failed policy.

Sticker.
