So we just heard our money power panel weigh in on whether other series scary sequestration headlines -- seeing.

Leasing on new federal lands for future development would be delayed -- this is talking about oil and gas production.

Which is obviously you know big source of jobs and revenue not to mention energy in the country right now.

They -- with fewer resources available for agencies to prepare for and conduct lease sales I'm so basically the permitting process would be slow down dramatically.

Do you believe not.

Well unfortunately that was actually the experience of the first Obama administration.

Where they did slowdown leasing them shore and they had a moratorium -- -- all shall work.

That there could be some minor effect only us but look this is all -- big -- campaign.

To try to scare the American people and to make the Republicans as you said intimidated.

This I think it won't pass -- but it won't succeed.

Let me just give me an examiner in my home state of Mississippi you mentioned -- put out -- study here's what they would lose.

Will lose about five point four million dollars of federal -- -- education.

But our K through twelve education budget.

Is four point five billion dollars.

So we're talking about losing one count of 1% -- -- presented here.

No big deal.

I mean we wanna talk about that in the slowing down of the leases on federal -- -- -- we back and looked right now the wait time on average is about 228.

Anyway if you want to -- if you wanna get a permit to drill on federal land.

In a lot of states you can do that in ten days so the threat of slowing it down even further I'm not sure what difference it makes which is exactly what you're saying.

I'm making the rounds in -- this isn't pretty scary predictions.

About what would happen in the transportation sector for example.

-- he talks about ninety minute delays potentially that that travelers would see but even more has -- even scarier than that.

He -- that repairs on runway vehicles bad that wouldn't -- -- you'd have to wait much longer of that happening makes it seem like.

We would all be in danger if we want to fly let's listen really quickly to what he had to say Aussie react to the other side.

Flights to major cities like New York Chicago and San Francisco and others could experience delays of up to ninety minutes.

During peak hours.

Because -- have fewer controllers on staff.

Cuts to budgets mean preventative maintenance and quick repair of one more runway equipment might not be possible which could lead to more delays.

And once airlines see the potential impact of these for -- We expect that they will change their schedules.

And cancel flights.

No I don't believe any -- it -- that the FAA alone has 500 million dollars of outside consulting contracts.

They already had to establish that they were gonna have a reduction in force and head and their budget to say -- tens of millions of dollars for the -- -- Now we're talking about an agency whose budget has gone up thirty something percent.

But in the last two years America -- travel was gone down 20% -- and understand they can't say 5%.

Give me a -- they couldn't manage a way out of a wet paper bag if that were true yeah -- but the listen here's the real danger for the American people.

The Obama -- administration's becomes so this did so in invested in steering people and having a terrible outcome.

Now their political interest is for the outcome to be terrible well that instead it is mainly -- yeah.

Yeah along those lines before we run at a time because this wants me you know it's either really scary it's really cheap politics they talk about vaccines for children and say in Texas for example.

The you'll have the worst outcomes if they make halfway decent management decisions.

The right priorities will get funded and the savings there's -- -- savings in these accounts.

There when I was governor we could spend a man point 4% because of the recession.

We've managed it right nobody ever missed it.

And this deal -- talking as you mentioned about two and a half percent and the biggest -- will be about 5% yeah if they can't manage that.
