Well I'm beginning to think Obama -- is falling apart before our very eyes every -- we get new headlines premium set -- skyrocket Medicare Advantage to get brushed.
Labor unions who were once supporters of the president's -- -- now they don't wanna be apartment.
Here to -- in former New York governor George attacking governor welcome back to show always good to have you here.
Is a phone part.
You know that it is anybody surprised.
This was a horrible law when it was passed and now we're just.
We -- that we knew a lot of -- horrible provisions -- now every day assays are finding out something new that's even worse and.
Let me tell you have one of the things that we found that this week that the Israeli prime my shorts is that this -- tax on health insurers are gonna pay.
101 billion but that's actually -- get passed on the -- of course -- gets faster exact and it's just gonna raise our health care cost by another hundred plus billion dollars sending 200 dollars per family over ten years you know.
-- I've -- Obama -- was gonna reduce our costs what happened that I.
Never thought that they said that -- and I don't blame me because President Obama looked right main camera and said it's gonna reduce costs and he also said.
Knowing I was happy with their insurance gonna have to change.
Tens of millions of people are being forced to change and they don't want to it is a horrible law.
It was from the beginning and it should be in my view completely repealed and replaced with good provisions.
You know and a lot of CEOs now out complain.
The Dunkin' brands CEO is saying you know maybe we should redefine what full time worker is there is you're gonna get clobbered here.
Well documented clever because they're gonna cut people's work.
Right now and you know you figure forty hours is -- work week under Obama -- it's thirty.
And if you have somebody working for you thirty hours a week you have to give them comprehensive health care that the government approves.
People are gonna cut back the work -- to Tony.
We're already seeing that happening yeah that's bad news -- the -- absolutely and and small businesses.
If you're under fifty year -- but if you have fifty employees.
Then all of a sudden wow sorry you're gonna have to provide comprehensive health health -- average.
Employers -- not hire that fiftieth employee then it's gonna hurt jobs and they're gonna hire part timers who don't count -- -- a horrible law.
Kroger CEO came out this week saying and he has 300000 workers more than that that's just you know -- a -- -- remain here.
-- he -- lots of workers minutes grocery stores they operate on really narrow margin and everything makes a difference there he says look you know.
Companies like ours we really can't afford it so you know maybe we'll just pay the penalty salute on economically that's the only thing that makes we.
Are going to see millions of workers dumped -- from nerve -- employer provided health care coverage they employer will pay the fine.
And the employee we'll have to go on to the bit there the government programs.
And exactly what President Obama told this would not happen is happening in the other thing that he said it's it's gonna reduce the deficit it's gonna blow out the hideous house -- I.
I all right.
Says that the labor unions are saying now we don't want to -- -- they were suspicious at the beginning but they were bought off by this exemption that for a while they wouldn't have that to play along.
Of course they don't -- -- they have what under Obama care is Cadillac health care.
And they're going to have to see their members' health care reduced so it's tragic that they were.
Fooled into supporting it are from political reasons supported -- and that other members have to face the consequence.
He doesn't want to talk to you about that I found really inching their people now.
Leading Republicans saying let's stop fighting but to stop the fight over Obama -- just letting go.
I and yes there's thinking that you know it's just such bad news ultimately for consumers that they won't like it -- they'll blame.
The present administration but at the end of that they should keep I think should try to fix it.
And it's not just bad news for consumers it's it's bad news for our health care for -- for the people it's bad news for the government.
Because it's going to end up costing hundreds of billions more than people expected to -- for everyone and you can't just sit back and say well done.
So let me I mean seriously I would advance the series of amendments.
Preferably I'd like to replace it repeal and -- with another thing but as a practical matter.
I would advance amendments repealing.
Various provisions that are hideous provisions and replacing them with something that might actually work.
The Florida governor we're talking about this in the break is saying that he has agreed to do -- Medicaid expansion he was against debt.
And he is now one of seven Republican governors who are onboard taken the federal doubt which is really lets face it I needed to get make that the federal government's gonna give -- some money and then at the end of the day the State's gonna be on the hook.
Well I think it's three years for the federal government's gonna pay the whole thing and then -- not and so in the short term.
You know while you know you're all these people are getting expanded Medicaid and it's not cost in the -- -- thing but then what happens.
And what I always try to do is governors look long term it's easy to fix it things for the short term.
But ultimately if you wanna do what's right you have to look longer term and not only is -- -- bait and switch because the money's not going to be there three years.
But I could see the Medicaid share that the federal government continues to pay reduced over time because the federal government.
A -- that -- the federal government is broke.
They're always great to have you -- thanks for coming in giving alliger.
