We may -- -- Colorado the mile high state a task force agreed yesterday that under amendment 64.

Tourists should have the same rights -- state residents meaning.

Those tourists should be able to go straight from hitting the slopes to hitting the ball.

Not everybody is keen on letting -- stoke up but marijuana means big money for Colorado.

Up to sixty million dollars in taxes alone that's -- they project it will raise and they could use that revenue for schools and education.

The longer of the growth.

-- Colorado.

-- Vincente and did we get that right I mean are are they actually talking about marketing Colorado is that hey come visit and get high.

Well you know Carranza made the decision to -- to tax marijuana and regulated like alcohol and -- -- -- gonna treat folks that visit our stated we have survivor tourist industry anyway.

Like we treat coloradans and if you're Tony on an order and wanna purchase marijuana from a regulated store front -- tax money which will improve our state.

And it looks like the government is leaning towards allowing out of state visitors to do so.

But Brian I am not passing judgment in favor or against this it's kind of like Las Vegas we know why some people go to Las Vegas.

It seems to me that there's 310 million Americans who are potential tourists.

From pool from which Colorado could raise money if not the people all over the world might go there to get high in that basically what we're talking about it's like come to Colorado gets down.

Well you know people come to Colorado for all sorts of reasons skiing -- address for our my true -- craft Beers.

You know if people -- -- come here and relax of marijuana.

And drinking a beer 121 in order if you wanna pay taxes on that music responsibly.

-- -- -- the current government looks like it's gonna -- you -- yourself.

Ten and now some of the downside of this is just as it applies to a citizen of Colorado -- would applied anybody else he can only have up to one ounce.

Of marijuana on you correct.

That's correct our voters by 55%.

Said that those 21 in order can have up to announce in our state.

All right is there concern that maybe people from outside Colorado would come to Colorado and purchase more than one ounce in an attempt to take it across straight lines and sell it illegally.

Now there is concern about that that's an issue that that the regulators are taken very seriously there's some discussion about limiting.

Out of state purchases Canadian -- and announce a quarter of announced.

To make it more difficult for people to then take that that product and had across state lines of course.

Crossing state lines of marijuana are going to any state sides Colorado is a 100% illegal and will remain so.

You know I should point out that Fox Business did a whole series on medical marijuana roughly two years ago Colorado has had a long history of medical marijuana successfully.

But the Obama administration the federal government has flip flopped repeatedly.

On its attitude -- states where marijuana consumption is legal do you worry that inviting people in for marijuana tourism.

Might invite the federal government and to crack down on what is legal in your state but not legal federally.

Well I think Colorado as the opportunities demonstrates the federal government and to the world that marijuana prohibition is not works that we can regulate this product.

And sell it to adults 21 and over whether they're just visiting here where they live here and we're hoping that the federal government will respect states' rights and allow Colorado to raise tax revenue.

Who marijuana sells off of street corners put him behind the counter -- -- for adults.

At the federal government has demonstrated I mean we've seen people thrown in jail in California who are operating legal at least by state lot medical marijuana dispensaries and centers where they grow marijuana.

Why do you think you guys would be exempt the federal government goes back and forth on this and right now they are not in favor.

Other federal government is a bit schizophrenic on this issue what will be found in Colorado we've had a very successful medical marijuana program here for years we have hundreds of state run medical marijuana stores.

I think we've demonstrated to the federal government that we can do this responsibly.

Keep it out of -- teens -- roadways safe.

And produce tax revenues so instead of giving money to cartels are state has decided to movies marijuana sales behind -- counter.

And tax -- and we're hoping that the federal government will respect our State's rates decision to do that.

All right Brian appreciate you joining us you know that you guys open yourselves up all kinds of -- -- Jokes and fast times -- -- -- -- because it is but chart the forefront of something that is a national issue a lot of people talk about it.

Get a good guys who we will look -- -- -- please come visit sometime would love to visit Colorado it's a great -- up --
