Dave we just spoke after the New York Times awhile back -- -- in the Wall Street Journal was well you guys have been brought in to figure out to connect the dots.
And after seven years you guys really have I mean I'm surety really -- -- about since then but.
How did you make the connection between the Chinese military and all of these hacking cases.
Melissa thanks for having me but so we've been tracking you know a series -- what we call a PT is -- advanced persistent threats for quite a number years now as you mentioned.
67 years all the way back to 2006.

We've been tracking IP addresses the type -- malware is similar -- -- each time over the years.
And there for 140 company has over 19100 instances the amount of forensics evidence is so compelling and overwhelming.
That it's so obvious what's happening and who's behind it.
Also obvious but -- they they doth protest too much me thinks the Chinese are saying oh cyber attacks are anonymous and trans national.
Note that means you guys -- pinpointed it -- show the map.
And it zoomed in from the satellite picture to the building and it's owned by Chinese military were all of this is happening or they can't -- Others no doubt about it I mean this is this is an embarrassment to China in my opinion it's amazing and shocking and and just overwhelming evidence to what's been going on.
And I've been involved in the security industry for a lot of years now having been CO McAfee and now fire -- -- didn't.
And me and him have some of the best forensics investigators in the world the best products in the world.
They've studied this problem for years it's so blatantly obvious what is happening and it needs the -- you can hear from.
The House Intelligence Committee Mike Rogers saying we need let's stop this from the executive order of the president and we need a resolution of this and soon.
Yeah and as I said senator Dianne Feinstein out of California issued of a response today and in fact saying we we need some type of agreement to stand down because it only really does look like a cyber war at this point.
They accuse us saying hey hey Americans are trying to hack -- our companies as well.
Look if it can be -- he said she said all they want but the fact is.
That you talk to any CEO particularly of electronics companies and they tell me.
Liz we can hear them knocking on our IT door.
We can see where there have been attempts to get in.
So what is it that you guys could do offered fire right to make sure that the plugs that the -- -- and the holes are sealed and these guys can't get in and steal -- secret.
Melissa first the bonuses this is across industry problem not just a high tech or clean tech -- -- -- I understand this yes.
Coca-Cola obviously industries you know from energy oil and -- all types of sectors and all over the world for that matter.
The offense in the defense or completely dislocated it's very easy to attack -- network at this point you can hide behind anonymity.
And we need to come together as a as a public and private -- And our government we can hear it as we finish up do we need the power of the US military to start.
Helping us protect our companies.
We need some help -- the executive order was a good start but they're also is great technology -- -- and fire -- two good examples as you mentioned but.
We need government to come together with commercial operations we need education that's happening to -- we're seeing in the last few weeks.
But we need to come together and solve this problem and it's going global it's not just China.
We see over a hundred countries around the world involved with cyber espionage now it's just too easy to steal information and money.
And the cyber domains around the world are an easy victim to to pray and to for the hackers out there are so.
We need to work on this and we need to work on a fast and technology and government need to come together to to fix it.
Well -- bridging it thank you very much Dave to Walt is the chairman of -- into the CEO of fire riot and companies go to him not the FBI because they wanna keep it quiet but they also want to have a help but this thank you so much we appreciate it.
