Then I think about just eleven days so those cuts come crashing -- of 85 billion an automatic Sokol secret straits of spending cuts set to hit if congress.

Doesn't get to work but congress isn't getting to work it's on vacation for the next week to Barbara Massachusetts senator.

And I'm very happy decide fox executive Scott Brown.

On this very mixed message if this is such a big deals shouldn't these guys -- coming up with a deal are not working at least for now audits had.

Senator good -- view it does sort of -- Make me think about the urgency of those cries -- there is both sites what's going -- But bottom line is you know why we went into this the -- sequestration mess is because.

-- a year over a year ago we were trying to avoid default paying our bills right and so we came up with this draconian measure.

Called sequestration that no I never thought would be actually implement and they've had over a year to actually get -- get to business and they had a one select committee that failed.

They should have had two or three or four.

Listen bottom line is Harry Reid could bring this up and you could have been working on this right from day -- so what have they done instead.

They've -- the kind of a dog and pony show having that the political theater -- all the you know the joint she's coming in everybody's this is terrible this is terrible and then they go on vacation.

-- bottom line is they were elected to do a job I had to do it well and -- these very difficult problems in what do they do they go on vacation they should immediately be brought back.

This is real it's devastating as you know -- I'm in the military -- three years I.

Where got the Pentagon that's all they're focused on right now with all the things that are going are on -- North Africa and obviously Syria and Afghanistan and in any other hot areas around the world.

Where they focused on well who we gonna lay off how they gonna be laid off what about the contractual obligations in the union obligations is that going to be payback after in terms of us having to pay five civilian had just talking about everything that's but it.

Along with the senator -- don't you -- there'll always went down.

The president said that was really a Republican grace Republicans that was the president's -- it.

But as I remembered at the time covered the dime and -- president of you know the scenes of this is you work it was sort of like for both sides.

Like a back up back on and on those guys if we can't agree to the cuts they -- these cuts.

Held in reserve will be there to make -- come up but the cut.

It's show lemon -- it was it was always the administration plan and I remember very clearly Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell saying listen.

We're gonna get this -- I'm gonna step back from default would make sure we satisfy the credit raised -- rating agencies and then.

-- never happen folks is we're gonna get a committee together we're gonna actually work on it.

And find those cuts and make them more thoughtful and judicious in appropriate in the some.

Another half a trillion in the middle of everything that's going on I agree it was secretary Panetta it's going to be devastating.

And got to leave us vulnerable I think firm.

Firm and many different areas.

But you know in the scheme of things a senator when it's already 85 day of that come come up in a couple of weeks not even.

In -- three and a half trillion dollar budget.

Whatever the merits of the argument just made -- and it is that is considered really really tough to do.

And that is considered really draconian to even think gives -- Then when we have to put the battle of the metal and really look at across the board cuts in in a number of other areas however gonna do -- Is such heavy everywhere this and the senate does a great point and L I agree with -- -- this is only the beginning don't forget we've already begun cutting and have cut.

About half a trillion there's the key the key is that the ten years and drug Kenyans.

-- over ten years thank you.

The majority leader should give this -- to the committees and let them do their job drummer.

The senate hasn't -- a budget of a four years and the president's budgets have never received one vote Democrat or Republican and they have budget she sent forth.

That the majority leader should send this to the -- say listen.

We need to cut.

-- and this is your job go through your committee -- top to bottom review of every program that you're responsible for and come up -- those cuts and let everybody have skin in the game.

They're not doing that they don't go through the Appropriations -- is the budgeting committees they do everything by hey let's bring it up next week when they get back from vacation week and a -- Harry we will bring up a bill with a -- entitle -- to save the military save the world bill.

And if you don't vote on it basically I hate America so let's say probably gonna do it's going to be raising taxes taking more.

Money out of hardworking men and women's pocketbooks and wallets.

And giving it to the federal government where they're like pigs at a trough just taking and taking and taking and it's unacceptable they need to make those hard decisions as you referenced.

And do it a thoughtful judicious manner and they should be -- work right now.

And there are not Scott Brown always a pleasure good seeing you again.

Thank you thank you mean levels.
