For the last shall we spoke to doctor Ben cost about his now widely reported speech of a national prayer breakfast widely reported it seems everywhere.
But the mainstream media and any coverage -- that was was mostly I think negative.
Joining us now is -- media watchdog Brent Bozell found all of the media recession -- that -- that this this speech.
It made an enormous impact on our -- -- is here on fox business and I believe on the Fox News Channel as well.
Tell me how it was treated in the rest of the media.
Well first -- do is tell -- take offense.
At the fact that you called Eva Longoria a celebrity and you haven't called me at select test -- How do you feel about spending more than half your money on taxes that threatened that he did it and if you get -- -- -- our unhappiness spent half her money.
-- the the other.
Good thing.
They know that -- at this is that this -- -- thing.
What I'll rock star type number -- of this person is.
I think getting emails from Europe about this I think giving people calling me emailing me who -- this.
This man we're pretty close problem I've watched that speech it is best minds think he's so positive he's so loving.
He talks about having a ferocious temper when he was growing up he is the antithesis of that his ideas of high you think.
His idea of health savings account -- riveting.
So you would think that with this -- ocean.
Of interest all over the Internet worldwide.
At the national news media.
I think its -- Yet there they go -- no coverage.
Would you do get coverage -- little coverage that has gotten its critical how dare he talk like that broke the president.
But he puts -- a very eloquent statement of conservative economic policy.
I mean he -- it was fight it.
Market oriented free market competition -- responsibility.
Wrapped up in a moral structure -- put that out I think.
In some ways he assumed.
A leadership position.
Of of -- and so.
Here's.
What he did -- -- which is what's been lacking frankly.
And in the conservative moment in the Republican Party.
Is is specific -- -- tangible.
Recommendations.
And policy proposals that you put on the table.
Instead of just criticizing.
That they did beat your opponent wouldn't -- which is an easy thing to do.
He made no criticism.
Of them -- to his right.
-- that he did not come on anything that I can call he just offered a better idea on both banks and -- -- -- like I said it's riveting.
And I would encourage anybody -- -- that Google that and watch this man and listen to the entirety of the space it's about 45 minutes long.
I'm telling you it's one of the best addresses that I have heard in years and he had lived it.
But I can't believe that did with the oldest impact that -- had.
Can't believe it's just not being picked up at old by the establishment media although there have been a couple of comments that it was inappropriate to -- politics at the national preference.
Well I don't know it it it hit.
I do believe that because you see it time and again happening but here's the reality because of you -- because of fox because of talk radio.
And especially because of of the Internet.
Did that the toothpaste is out of -- to a story does get out it takes longer.
And it has to go to a lot more circles but -- eventually resonate with a population this story will not stop growing.
This man's popularity will not stop -- they can put the kibosh on -- all be long but this proves why the networks are becoming increasingly irrelevant.
What do you think he has been doctor -- future I am told I -- -- -- -- I you may be retiring soon.
I'm not a not dead sure of that but I believe this is retiring I think -- in June of this year very soon what's -- what's its future.
Out out -- would say with the next Republican administration.
The next Republican president would be an absolute -- their head.
If he -- -- this man secretary of HHS.
You've got it.
Yeah I think that's -- a lot of obvious assigned to.
