Are about that rich actually if you if you could stand by -- -- want to bring in another Fox Business college who we think has.
I'm assuming something that -- it up.
Yes yes David Asman joins us now David what I hope it's -- -- it would look the point is is is the president is doubling down and is on his ideology which is for bigger government which is for more spending which is for the government to guide the economic process whether it's -- In financial affairs whether it's in the old style infrastructure projects.
-- is right I think he's gonna be a little more specific but he has a new speechwriter Ted Kennedy had a wordsmith -- named Cody -- in Cody Keenan is is new speechwriter.
And he goes in for these sort of big sounding phrases rather than specific policy.
Initiatives that the president used to have I think the president's team feels that.
One hit against him in the past was that he sounded too professorial just getting down to details nuts and bolts stuff it was it was progressive nuts and bolts stuff.
But he's they're stepping back now -- looking at the grand vision in this grand vision of big government solving.
Problems is one that they wanna focus on the problem always what does that mean -- got exactly -- what does this mean in terms of possible means more infrastructure infrastructure.
Projects we just saw them sign that bill on more wind power projects twelve billion dollar not.
This is learning curve for years lot of them -- -- Powell really haven't written rich dad said.
Pockets where President Obama said in the debates he wants to cut corporate income taxes -- what.
It will be in this speech it tomorrow about cutting business taxes good question.
Well it's all depends on the industry that you're looking at and typically the president and Democrats -- -- manufacturing green manufacturing and that's manifested itself and over the temporary tax credits.
But when you talk about this -- this refocus that we've seen on the economy over the last four years it hasn't been.
A move away from what the president's governing theory is and we expect to see that.
Again tomorrow that you close certain loopholes for wealthier taxpayers for corporations and that in part.
Helps to fund infrastructure and all the things that David was discussing so.
While the president does have a corporate tax proposal out there.
He and Republicans differ greatly on how exactly to accomplish that.
Right now the focus from Democrats -- really been on closing loopholes taking that money and spending it on something else whereas Republicans say they're open to closing loopholes and deductions to -- -- lower rates a flatter.
Tax system that they're looking at -- -- lower tax system with fewer deductions a lower tax rate.
And so you know there are still major differences on how to accomplish that.
And there's no indication that that's -- OK let me just follow up on -- -- -- because rich I think nailed it.
But the fact is is that Republicans could be brilliant it which is -- don't expected but they could be by focusing.
On something that the president himself wrote in 2011.
This is the September 2011 president's plan for economic growth and deficit reduction.
He gets into principles of tax reform and I'm quoting.
President Obama right now he said lower tax rates this is the number one principal for tax reform lower tax rates.
The tax system should be simplified.
Work for all Americans would lower individual and corporate tax rates and fewer brackets you Republicans should say mr.
president's war we view that we think you should have tax reform.
Yet it particularly the kind of tax reform that you mention in 2011 -- -- and that all day that they we'll see what happens Marco Rubio.
Candidate announcing Marco Rubio I don't be delivering -- read -- -- Republican address after the president's state of the unit.
If he's Smart and he is a Smart guy.
I think he should go back to the president's own words calling for what -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- By the way windmill power is more expensive now than it was twenty years ago before we began spending tens of billions of dollars on -- so.
As government spending helped us to get more energy from wind the answer is no.
Natural gas oil from -- those things have helped but as we know there's things are -- -- anti carbon policy.
Have a segment on solar command to get to make money and that that's about it amendment right David -- thank you very much -- -- and thank you rent.
