Personal information stolen and the number of tax well they just keep on growing.

And here's one for Bloomberg just days ago after Twitter said hackers accessed data of more than 250000.

-- the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times recently reporting they were hacked to vote by China.
The Wall Street Journal out today say it's still under attack by the Chinese.
For more on this I'm joined by two big time experts Ira Victor a digital forensics analyst.
At data clone labs and Lance -- ulanoff editor in chief of national dot com.
Are gonna start with you I had this fed story -- really gets to me this is the nerve center of our financial system.
And you're telling me hackers can get to what what's going on.
Here.
Well this is just the tip of the iceberg it's not the headline attacks you need to worry about if the attacks that never make they have lines.
Better under the radar that are really stealing an enormous amount of information so it's much worse than even the headlines you just -- Our -- -- well you know glance.
The Federal Reserve said nothing to see here and looking way we've got it under control I don't believe that's true.
-- -- keep moving along nothing to -- and unfortunately.
They probably don't know the extent yet they don't know -- and they said they.
They found the source they cut it off but you know he's at what he says absolutely right that there's so much that we don't see happening.
Sites big -- small sites public sites government sites are under attack pretty much 24/7 Alan you know.
UB IT guys in the back and see it happening.
But what's scary is that these vulnerabilities exist all over the place and they are hot ones and their small ones but all -- need is to get it.
REI RE TU -- what I've been worried about for a long time we see these attacks on banks sell what time we're talking about the Federal Reserve before.
But individual banks are under attack all the time what they typically do is they get -- that front door so it bureau web user -- you're trying to get into your Bank of America account you can't.
But what are they actually and -- deal.
And money.
What they are stealing money I that we had to work on a case that data call lab where business lost nearly half a million dollars.
Who've gone out of their business bank account never to be seen again.
This is an epidemic going across the country we're talking about billions of dollars in unauthorized transactions out of business accounts there's much less protection of the laws.
For business accounts and people think all my bank will cover me in many cases that is just not the case -- -- of affirmed that that.
And I do not -- -- donation to monitor their money off that I get hacked.
Well no actually in in the case is that that I have worked on.
The businesses themselves did not follow some very well known that techniques to thwart these attacks in the courts have validated that businesses have responsibility.
To Harden their network in their systems above and beyond anti virus and firewall.
To protect again well ties to -- -- -- if if my bank doesn't protect me it should be their fault Lance -- -- -- -- here first of all.
Also answer who -- these people do want.
It's OK so we have a couple of you know obviously do have these other governments -- we have the Chinese Government that we believe is going into for example and they went up in New York Times what -- they doing there were trying to find out.

In China they wanted to get at them and learn and of course and find those people that's why not on the free press and -- like and now now nodded off and then the other side is some of these Internet at a -- anonymous.
And there's sort of all over the place and their angry about civil liberties and they're angry for example Aaron -- was an Internet activists who was under investigation by the US government.
He had other problems he committed suicide in January this.
Angered you're the fact that commit suicide was very sad but anonymous was angry at the way to government -- after and so they started going after sites.
And that's actually what is behind this -- attack RE TU anonymous these -- was.
You know they're they're angry they don't like the way things are going and so now they're trying to get our personal information what do you make of this.
Well -- anonymous is just a very small percentage of the attacks are going on out there.
The -- the ones that are that I was referring to these are just out now hardcore cyber criminals that are looking for financial gain.
Anonymous are are just one -- what a stir up the hornet's nest and create chaos and I think that's good they do a lot of hard but it pails and -- it to what the so that.
-- the massive cyber conspiracy.
To break into bank account especially business bank account that's still money and to break into businesses to steal intellectual property.
To steal patent didn't -- information before they can't get bad -- sales information that information is very valuable.
Many companies in China.
Don't want to actually invest in innovation.
They'd rather -- he'll he'll -- in the west are right and then and then take the jobs from -- Point Lance whose gonna protect it is the government did is this first and foremost an online.
You know I think it is actually cyber security.
Cyber warfare is is moving to the front lines of of of government policies of -- the world.
They get it this is a big deal what what I was has absolutely -- -- so far it's it's tough because you know what.
It's so funny that technology so complex and that one small hole is basically a doorway Peta want to get through that you walk and -- in walk out but here's my believe his what we -- think that cyber security is really everybody's job it's it's called definitely corporations that's also it's usually like somebody.
Who didn't do one thing in the company -- sometimes it's personal it's people.
Who are not securing the wrong compute.

So what the Federal Reserve what happened is these guys accessed internal servers and they broke into an emergency communication system so that was what is at risk.
Frightening enough.

What can people do -- are worried about cyber security.
I.
I can't give you an answer just a few seconds but I can't do reassure only as there are some very good steps.
That can be done.
Beyond antivirus and firewall that if those techniques are used -- professionals and l.s security professionals not IT people.
But security professionals those techniques when used properly.
Does the statistics show will stop at 80% of the breaches.
And to -- that point it's awareness and putting together those right protections that we can cut down a lot of those breaches right at the source.
That's what I want to save.
