Are you ready for the big game on Sunday well if you're one of the seven and a half million Americans.

Planning on buying a new TV.

For the Super Bowl you're in luck joining me now with a look at some of the best TV's out there is Paul Reynolds from consumer reports.

Okay I've got more information here and I know what to do with Paul that you're here to set -- straight thank you today and I question you here I know you're very intelligent on this topic.

You think a good time to buy TV but their set and a half million people out there are going to be doing the same thing.

How is that good.

What's good for two reasons first of -- a course -- a couple of days away from the big.

TV event of the year or if there's any time that you want -- brand new television particularly big one it's probably now the other reason is.

The 2012 sets are on the way out 2013 sets will be coming on the market in another month or two.

That's the whole industry is very motivated to sell your television set -- really wanna get -- old ones.

Prices are lower and I'll be even lower in a few weeks from now so you're buying -- next few -- -- you -- wait till you -- wait for -- if you are buying before Super Bowl might be good idea to get a price guarantee of the stores gonna drop the price they'll tell you that they'll refund due to differ.

It's -- now I want to do this manager in the order that you like.

I think he went start with algae so bottom -- your consumer reports has looked at these TVs they tested these TVs -- they have some.

Some things they -- -- Join start with the Samsung let's start -- -- Sanchez's Samsung has a great example of just how much TV you can get for your money now are -- 650 dollar TV set.

-- it has very good picture it uses a technology called plasma which is a technology that is very beautiful deep blacks.

And it's also got on what's and that was typically the criticism.

Grab these T basis that the blacks whether it very black.

And you can see well the picture is bright from any angle with a plasma set which can be important for something like a Super Bowl party.

Everybody conceive that there -- in the -- get -- drank while they scored a touchdown.

So that's an example 650 dollars 51 inches you move up you spend about twice as much as that you can get an LG this LG.

55 -- that -- this uses LCD technology.

Which is the most common technology television really nice and bright.

But not quite as black that this is a very good set 12100 dollars you know that in -- twice as much.

It's bigger and -- -- some stuff like online access you can go through and to Netflix and so on with this TV set.

Really a nice performer has some additional features at the Samsung doesn't.

Panasonic.

That Panasonic is like day impress your neighbors television -- it's about 2500 dollars 165.

Inches which shows you 603700.

Averaged 37 but it right now you can get a for about 26.

Other pretty widely.

-- showing how the prices are coming down 65 inches this is one of the best television sets we've ever tested I mean.

The other one the LG had an excellent picture this is the high end of excellent -- really blew our testers away.

And it's got a lot of really nice features and a tremendously big picture the other thing it's got is.

Design which is you know increasingly important it's extremely thin.

And it hasn't really negative.

-- dazzle you look at these now I think the originals were right shots it was hard did set them up and around because they were so fat right -- -- very scanning much different.

Telling the one thing I should note -- asked the salesman is like go -- Which I have my mind already made up about.

Well I think you should decide the size that you want you should look at getting the biggest size that you can afford.

Chances are your room is big enough for it and you're really gonna appreciate that exercise once you get the -- -- plasma or LCD make that went in and the resolution.

And 3-D you're not how to make that decision three -- pretty much is gonna be built in to all but the cheapest sets now the very cheapest brands.

You're gonna get -- you might as we'll get it anyway don't pay extra for which you don't really have to pay extra for anymore.

All right Paul thanks for coming on now we know how to -- TV set for the Super Bowl thank you so much -- --
