And we've been talking about several topic today retirement.

Included in that 01 of the big -- of course -- advertising because Super Bowl Sunday is upon us now.

-- all those ads don't succeed some people might be.

Our own thing you know sort of closed putting -- -- -- -- very -- that Peter -- here with us to talk about what to do.

Does not is gonna we wanted to -- -- to focus you say on your work being inexperienced not a performance so what what does that mean Peter how -- -- -- keeper had.

We're not only that -- I I think actually that we perform less well when we try to perform.

A -- right I mean when you're trying to do really well when you're trying to win something.

You tend to do things that make you mediocre past and certainly less successful yourself focused on the -- that you forget where you -- what you're actually doing you tend to.

Make the wrong kinds of moves parent and I says work hard state if I -- a bomb.

Right -- and and so we can stay with the the Super Bowl analogy too right because if it you would think that if the players are so focused on winning they're gonna win.

That's actually a mistake if they're so focused on plain.

They're gonna win at kind of this -- focused on winning they're gonna get distracted from their -- at that right.

That I gave a speech yesterday to a 100000 people read the biggest audience have given a speech to yet.

And I was sitting there and I was practicing and I was stressed about it.

And I was doing exactly what I tell people not to do it and finally my wife -- -- gave me this good reality check in she said.

But you're so focused on the fact that there's a 100000 people -- you be watching you.

That you're absolutely forgetting that you're actually good giving speeches and what you should do is give a speech the way you would give it to a -- people.

And the 100000 there's no differently -- a 100000 a hundred to give -- speak.

I'm so focused on that end goal I want all these people -- That I forget that I'm appeared actually to share something of value and needs to do it in a way that's hopefully engaging and entertaining.

And I want -- -- -- -- I expect the because have been talking about this the whole show I find it interesting do you think that.

From the advertisers sometimes make that mistake where they try so hard with an -- -- -- and put on this big show that they sort of forget to actually put promote the product.

Yeah I mean I actually think that's a very interesting question it's -- into question to save the ads that we love to watch.

Do they -- thing.

Yeah added that -- how does how -- as an advertiser find a balance between keeping the audience engaged but also remember -- promote the product ever that.

The old navy -- the gap commercials with all the swing dancing in the -- one -- one all the advertising awards but -- -- factories.

Right well so that's a big question.

So so you know I don't actually know about much about advertising except that like you I had I had an iron -- act expert but let's talk about -- I don't.

You don't lie you know like to watch football occasionally it's mostly the -- -- find most interesting especially if the nothing's happening again.

But but I would say that.

You know what you want to do is give people a good experience and enjoy the experience -- it you.

You you please take steps back so the way you apply -- for example to the advertisers.

If you look at the people are creating yet and you're saying what are they going for you know are they really fully engaged in the experience in creating this that.

If they're fully engaged in the experience of creating the they'll probably end up creating a good -- And if they don't create -- -- that they'll probably learn from it and they'll be able to create their next -- will end up being more effective.

That I just a grab the big celebrity or that -- a big name just just for the -- of -- and grab them if you have a purpose movement not and that's -- so how do you -- -- -- translate this into regular -- now back to what you actually came to talk about a hug.

You know how do you know the difference on whether you're putting on a performance or whether you're just sort of living the experience -- sometimes it's hard.

Tell it is sometimes hard to tell and I have a question.

That I ask myself.

And and it's basically question and one former rather that sounds like one of my feeling now and if I know what I'm feeling now.

I know I'm presently in the moment in the experience.

If I don't know what I'm feeling because until Harriet and so focus on everything else so so the question that I ask myself if I'm in the middle of the experience is you know -- What I feel right now just so I know that I -- in touch with myself and my body and I know that I'm here as a person doing something.

And what is the answer is I don't know we sometimes second -- and -- -- it.

-- or mother to death he -- so as soon as I ask that question.

I immediately land in the present right as soon as you ask yourself the question what's going on for me you're there.

And and because you've asked the question now use -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- You know how does that translate to I'm not gonna be trying to -- repressed this.

Person I'm in a business meeting with I'm on a date -- I -- trying to sell a product to how do you then make that.

Keep yourself grounded so you don't sort of.

Go too far there's something about.

Reminding yourself.

That you're a person.

In a body.

In a place doing -- thing that reduces your pressure.

There's something about saying.

You know I mean you could you could -- I don't know how many people are watching us now but if we were worried.

At every sentence of how many people are sitting here watching us that we say the right -- then you're just tumble over here.

We we are not right.

Do you answer myself credit I don't worry about I -- -- -- added we worry about that that would be a problem.

-- not we're not worried about that was sitting in were having a conversation and where people in bodies in shares you know having a conversation and at that point.

Those things that come out of our -- will probably be more real than they would if were sort of worried about how we're wrestling -- ultimately.

Parent mom -- out later -- young people.
