And blackberries last stand.

-- unveiling its bet the company Blackberry ten operating system and Smart -- this morning at big events around the world.

And joining us from the -- event in downtown New York with his -- Senior tech analyst Colin Gillis of BGC partners thanks for being with us -- now.

I'm wondering this -- it gets some pretty good reviews.

And yet is it too much of a change I mean Walt Mossberg of the journal basically is gonna say you know what you -- even recognize that based on the old Blackberry.

And that's right now as I mean that the good news.

Is that this is a nice product -- when you hold on it feels nice the operating system is fluid.

-- but the bad news is that it's a brand new platform.

And also -- slightly available for sale unites states until March.

Until March but is a bit of of a surprise now -- go ahead.

What is it the other parts as the pricing not by 99 price went on on subsidized basis night.

That compares you know when -- consume -- Right you -- maybe go out you could purchase the Google nexus for their latest flagship.

And -- bond on subsidized through Google for 299 -- about half the price so -- -- it's not available until March and it is expensive.

And it is expensive.

Now you know that this a 140 dollar stock in the last five -- Blackberry was a seventy dollar stock two years ago from fifteen dollars but still you say we ought to get rid of it.

You know unfortunately.

There will be certain number of people who will want this new phone.

I'd buy an order for them to meet the volume units that they need to make make -- -- profitable business.

This bonus not gonna get them there.

Also the other area concern we have is the physical keyboard.

Is that one feature that Blackberry users really like right.

If you look at the bonds that just came out today -- and -- -- in the market parts of -- accede to march.

The -- and is the one.

With the keyboard.

And I won't be coming until April.

A -- yet Blackberry users do kind of love that.

I was -- -- Blackberry user and I hated that iPhone keyboard is still hard to use now somebody's they're saying that their virtual keyboard with no actual physical piece.

That blackberries is the best they've seen better than the iPhone.

And yet the question is whether Blackberry users themselves even want that I guess.

Well I'd love to see how those devices received in the marketplace right again the -- product.

I know they've done a great -- they understanding keyboardist you know one of their core.

Functions that you know users expect from them so they've done a nice job look -- think you know what -- got access as as tight.

But unfortunately.

You know this is a brand new platform.

And it's very difficult for a new platform to get traction in the marketplace but right now -- dog bite that number three spot you've got Apple's IOS.

Got Google's Android I think you've got either Microsoft with a Windows Phone eight we've got Research in Motion with the black -- I'll have to see how it works out yet apps support a big key featured this thing turns up they'll have -- a -- -- -- of the apps.

Maybe 78000.

Compared with -- 70800000.

For apple.

An android is the company overall just too late to this college I mean there are only now changing their name from ram Research in Motion -- Blackberry which seems a little late.

Yeah I mean that is it is the Smartphone market is one you know it's one of the most lucrative in the world you know.

Everybody wants to have a Smart -- many people carry two of them.

I think its more popular continent PCs but you know unfortunately it's one of the fastest changing industries out there is -- -- to compete against apple.

And Google and Microsoft that's a tough road.

Yeah I would want to have to -- it thank you very much Colin -- BGC partners.
