More people are becoming less religious but it doesn't mean -- not looking for spiritual life.

More than 13 of adults -- authority have no religious affiliation.

Pew research found 10% of those who don't identify with a religion so they all looking for one that's right for them.

Joining us now is Father Jonathan Morris a Fox News program again please follow -- the program -- This looks like the -- not the demise but the decline of organized religion is that what's going on.

Yes and -- certainly there are more people than ever before who call themselves non religious.

But you know what I wouldn't necessarily -- voluntarily call myself religious I'm religious that's why am -- I would say I'm a believer.

I'm an American.

Haven't we -- silly priest I did this and that but there are many people who have lost trust.

Organized religion what not until the orders not organized -- -- why have they lost trust with the leaders of organized religion.

I think I'm not talking about this -- scandals within the Catholic well that's certainly one book that's -- that does that does not all of it is no but it's not just obviously that specific scandal that was real and it was a loss of trust no doubt.

But there's also just.

Whether or not people are giving convincing.

Compassionate reasons for believing.

The old days and saying I am I am progress that I am Catholic I'm Jewish and I am because my parents told me I am those days thank god.

Are almost over -- and much better a much better position is yes I was given this tradition and I'm gonna find out convincing reasons.

Whether or not I believe.

OK but it seems to me that America is going down the European road.

I've often said Europe is essentially a pagan confident it can no longer be called a -- a Christian confident he can you can't say that.

I think America's going down that road.

Let me -- it just the sort of the -- -- get a -- you agree with me on on not.

In this sense but I think a lot of people who refer to themselves as spiritual which is a much more friendly word often times really -- moment as they traded got they don't necessarily believe in the structure -- -- organized religion but they do have a relationship with -- I think -- new age.

And they yup I'm spiritual and the mother us Iowa -- there's there's just that part of it but and in defense -- -- a very good point I think.

Only 6% of Americans say that they are atheists.

And that's very well.

When we look at this that this this -- -- of that decline in organized religion we have.

They we have 14% of people who say they are unaffiliated.

In this report -- Related unaffiliated to diagnostic.

Agnostic something very different agnostic is in what I can't prove that there's a god therefore -- -- suspend any judgment.

There are so many people -- you know this Stewart.

In my church downtown lower Manhattan and perhaps most secular area and all of the country very young.

People are coming back in droves and these are people whose parents are not going to church.

-- -- twenties and thirty somethings who are there not because they have to not because of a tradition that forces them to be there.

But because they are tired of eight secular society that gives no deep.

Lasting eternal meaning to even things like business want -- us forces he's made frequently on this program is the rise of the atheists the aggressive -- that's.

Giuliani you know that the Bill -- -- in the world I mean they've been taken victory laps and it seems like they do have a lot of influence.

What the president with the media and it seems like they're pushing their case harder and harder either very good -- -- but you know what.

It's a new media were.

I'm -- with a message of truth and goodness love.

Right and into you know way.

I think hopefully where people can understand this person is not coming to judge -- to offer something.

Not to impose -- to offer because I want things aren't so bad no no -- I want you to win.

I do not wish to see America go down the -- and -- -- my European.

I -- relatives and.

Come on you our European you should let friends that at that distance yourself talk take that back.

We're American but you're European wash or you talked.

Right it Brett what is it some coming confessional and yet I'm not just in and I'm stating the obvious that we -- -- -- European I -- the most pro American americanized.

That you could have on the week I'm more American than new law.

Okay next to us that we'll let that one guy I think I want that -- pick up not fixed at the job.
