Cultures that we have to over cop.
All right -- forgot the south is still a backwater to New York the region languishes in a post antebellum haze of poverty and backwardness.
In truth my friends the south has benefited from long term strategies of keeping out unions and attracting more more companies to relocate from the Rust Belt.
As well -- overseas.
Boeing recently build a -- -- plant in South Carolina -- no -- Chinese company is building a laptop factory not New York not New Jersey but in North Carolina.
BMW.
I can go on -- time.
But it's not serendipity that cause companies to move strong economic policies including the right to work legislation and low taxes has built Texas into a juggernaut.
When governor Rick Perry was running for president he could claim rightly.
That his -- -- more than a third of all of the jobs created in the entire country since the recovery began in 2000 the night.
-- -- New York not Connecticut.
But Texas.
Lone -- State's unemployment rate of six point 1% handily beats out the nation at seven point 8%.
And there's Louisiana and Virginia five point 5%.
Oklahoma five point one out New Yorkers pardon me eight point 2% and New Jersey -- nine point six.
It's these metrics that matter the south is kicking New York's but is a culture different hello yes it is and thank goodness.
But I thought that's what liberal celebrated.
Diversity.
I -- I probably should get so upset at Charlie Rangel after all he's had its problems.
The forty year old congressman was censured by the house two years ago after facing charges of seventeen years of unpaid taxes on -- property in the Dominican Republic.
And more than 500000 an undisclosed public assets.
Crazy he also was investigated for raising millions from companies with business before the committee -- By the way it's not all bad Rangel won a purple heart and a bronze star for his service in the Korean War so that's okay.
But you know what he's still in office despite the censure the tax embarrassment.
Voters -- turning into office forty years later.
What -- the cultural implications of that I think it's a culture of corruption that needs to be overcome.
Coming out.
