Boeing is still producing at 787 dreamliner is despite the ongoing nightmare of airlines keeping the planes grounded.

-- can -- safety concerns with me out Rick -- fare compare dot com CEO hey -- great to have you here so wounded.

Do you think this is warranted -- you think this plane should be granted.

To be honest that's it's is abundance of safety security and I think that.

Yeah I think it should be honestly you're you're looking at -- probably six or seven incidences in the last.

Three or four weeks my big one of these bigger -- -- they're worried about the batteries on the plane being a major problem.

So I'm glad that -- grounding it now let everybody feel like they're safe going on the plane there's only fifty of these aircraft world right wide right now only six of them in the United States but there's a lot of my -- on my friend there's a lot the other.

Hi I'm -- this it.

This aircraft is the future part of the big part of the future of long haul travel worldwide this is like going from.

A Tariq tech Xbox and they're gonna have some glitches we know that that's gonna happen but this is more than just normal customer in new aircraft which is it's going on right now.

Well you know you say going -- to Xbox.

The thing is for Boeing this -- a major technological innovation they're reducing the costs of the way to the plane.

By using more green materials this is key to the future and that company.

Do you think they can get online quickly now you know that the production of this plane.

Has been hung up with all kinds of design problems labor problems.

Can they typically -- have been running.

Well they're gonna have to think there's no they don't have a choice these things are rolling off the assembly line right so they're they're gonna have to fix it if they had if it's a major fix and it's delayed several months that's gonna be terrible for them if it's only delayed two or three weeks it's gonna be a hassle for airlines that the re accommodate a bunch of passengers -- Everybody wants to fly this aircraft I've been trying to get on what it's hard to get a ticket on and to -- -- I think everybody wanna fly I was I don't wanna flyer right now it makes you nervous but should you -- get -- 787 I mean united this really.

The only US carrier right now with these bad -- liners.

But should people be worried should they be calling and finding out -- their next flight is on -- dreamliner.

Well for the most part you'll you'll be getting on a -- of for than that -- for the most part people don't even know that they're on a -- either buy their tickets I don't even know what -- aircraft is that.

Certainly if they feel uncomfortable that airlines are gonna move you if you want to be moved.

A lot of enthusiasts really want to be on this particular aircraft it's very difficult to get tickets on -- but the bottom line right now if this thing role last for weeks and in the months we're talking about.

Huge amounts of revenue Boeing's gonna have to reimburse airline's other airlines may reevaluate their deliveries if this continues on.

At the moment everybody is giving Boeing sort of -- not saying get it fixed make sure everything's okay.

But if this thing rolls on for another three to six months we're gonna be and they're gonna.

I wish -- will this 207 million dollar airplane.

-- -- -- the -- so -- if you're traveling you're wondering if you might be on one of these things you can see at.

I'm asking this question again because he didn't really answered that you answered it from -- respected that the industry.

But what about the perspective of the individual who's nervous about flying a 787.

Should they call should they make sure they're not getting on one I mean what's your view -- -- by.

Since you're nervous not -- you're nervous about it and I in my opinion -- I fly more than probably most people do -- pilot gets home for dinner.

And he's said he's happy about getting offered -- -- I'm happy about getting on that plane into the matter what the plane is.

So I feel pretty comfortable with it but if you have any concerns whatsoever.

You have the information in your itinerary if you're booked on that particular flight they're gonna be -- -- you anyway in the short term absolutely -- if you have any issues with it.

For the most part I think.

It it's only if this thing continues to that if we see a drip drip drip of continuous issues on this.

And they don't get it fixed.

I I definitely would be concerned -- this thing the last two or three months I would start to get concerned that I'm the least person to get concerned on these are.

And certainly if you stop -- you know companies saying.

We're canceling orders for the dreamliner that would be a big red flats.

-- that would be that that would be the huge red flag and and by the way there's really no competition for this aircraft.

Airbus the main competitor is at least a year away it may be even more to having a competing type aircraft.

-- we'll have to keep following -- -- -- thanks for coming on tonight it's always so good to have you on the show thank you very much.

They think they're.
