Quite simply the Republican Party needs a lamp lighter make that.

They'll someone who consent Twitter on fire lamp lighter we get back to the late seventeen hundreds -- -- -- says the GOP needs to get with that get into the 20% rate.

Put out what Dan Dan is the deputy editor of Wall Street Journal's editorial page that they need -- voice and someone to differ left I guess.

On any negative attention right.

Yet that's exactly right I mean I'm -- saying basically they need their own Jay Carney which is let's say they need a spokesman.

Basically what I'm proposing is a -- party spokesman -- or the Republican Party.

President's been doing -- across the -- last eighty years or so when you vote down the list of people were white house press secretaries.

You come up with names like Tony Snow Marlin Fitzwater or Mike McCurry Dana Perino -- -- Myers Arie Fleischer challenger anybody who pays attention to politics recognizes those names immediately.

They spoke for the president.

And if you look at the House of Representatives and the senate the only two names that come up are you senator Mitch McConnell and John Boehner.

But there -- the leaders and they're trying to do too much by being both the leader and the spokesman for the party.

So you want someone who is not an elected official you're making this.

Proposal by the way at the same time the Republicans are getting together for there.

Retreat Williamsburg ironically enough and -- -- immigrants go back until late seventeen hundreds rice but you know a lot of people inside the the party and I would say you have some.

Influence running in the journal's editorial page about the -- what people are thinking about this is something you think that they're considering.

I I think it's something they should consider and I suspect are going to hear from a lot of people quite frankly -- and getting a tremendous email response on this column.

From readers Republicans were saying they just want someone to speak for them all voice that is identifiable.

In articulates their ideas and if -- that voice this -- party spokesman.

Were set inside the senate or the house they could speak.

For the -- the Republicans have put policies right but they simply aren't being articulated in publicized in a way that the public could be forced to to to come to grips with -- -- do you think because again with they they use of Twitter how can the Republicans.

Take advantage of -- the kind of rapid fire away because O'Connell and I both the first thing we look at the morning's Twitter.

You know for marriages and the Republicans.

Seem complete absent in many ways to the point that these congressman are getting they really getting tutorials in having.

Yeah there -- getting all this a social news.

The lessons them social media and so forth and I'm sure that each one of them will do it individually.

I'm talking about something much more focused an individual's responsibility.

It is to convey the Republican message -- so depressed most of go to this person so the public expects.

That this individual to be speaking for the party and certainly they could use those technologies.

But I think the simple ability to articulate and intelligent and credible way.

Whether on Twitter or on television is desperately needed by the Republican who this person workforce is different -- the chairman of the party say that already exists that may be according puts as a practical matter -- they would work for the speaker or the minority leader in the senate because I think that's where the impetus for this past to come from and somebody would have to control it.

And as this Press Secretary works out of the White House I think working out of the speaker's office or the minority leader's office would make the most sense -- -- higher.

-- -- -- -- Well I -- Mary Matalin in the column I mentioned Kevin Madden I think third Ari Fleischer our own Dana Perino there are plenty of people who have the skill set to absorb the policies and articulate them in the simple.

That is consistent way that would allow the Republicans to understand what they stand for and what their point.

-- -- and the -- the line isn't.

Isn't that there's no one listening to the GOP there's.

Nothing to hear what yeah right at the top your column he's got very common points out that -- -- JP at least on economic policies more unified -- they've been along time they've got a good message they just have to get it out.

-- and parents say thanks so much.
