Much.
Well according to new estimates from Deloitte and 2013.
One million new Smartphones will ship worldwide -- the total to nearly two billion.
And one company stands to win big from this Smart phone boom.
Because its products are sold the wide range of false narrative that Dallas -- from Samsung to the Google nexus.
The -- -- Shibani Joshi is that the Consumer Electronics Show and she joined.
-- Hi guys yesterday we -- the Consumer Electronics Show and everything every gagging is now on the -- you can imagine -- here but it is it B engine and -- brain power of these tablets and Smart phone devices -- -- really stealing the states this year.
Qualcomm the company's CEO Paul.
At a at had an opportunity need to talk to him about what that means for consumer technology and perhaps if there is an area.
That heat doesn't want to play and take a listen.
Definitely true that people are buying lots of Smartphones and now computing is going be much more mobile.
But we see that mobile is going to be enabling technology for consumer electronics things as well your phone's gonna talk to your TV or talk -- -- Game console -- -- we talked with Microsoft I'd like keynote.
They talked about having their -- talk to the Xbox.
So you can control and so you know all of this coming together there.
Here in a lot of different devices -- last year you're talking about the snapdragon and and and being a player in the PC unit tablet market.
-- certainly mobile phones is an area that you don't want to plan is there an area that you're saying not right now maybe not.
For us well I think some of the areas just take a lot longer to develop so there are areas that we're making smaller investments in.
But we're building the partnership -- health care's radar.
Example of that.
It's not like we're going -- building.
Medical devices but we are building the partnerships and medical device manufacturers with health care professionals.
So we can understand it went in a few years back and take off.
What I'm here -- partners recently apple said that they gonna start to -- some of their manufacturing of their Max you -- the US borders.
If that's something that's even a conversation our our -- -- all content to shift manufacturing.
That's -- we outsourced our manufacturing our chips are -- and mostly in Taiwan right now.
We are working with a company called global foundries.
And they are building -- that in upstate new York and we expect that we'll have a significant amount of business out of that as well.
Before LA guy I wanna talk about the fiscal -- something that Ingles.
A lot of us on the East Coast but as a technology company someone on that.
At left coast of this nation is that something you paid attention to worry even -- about decisions based upon.
Well our business is doing quite well so while a lot of people in the tech industry and other industries were worried about cutting back we're still riding the growth of that Smartphone way.
On the other hand I join the fix.
The debt campaign.
And I am.
Actually disappointed in what happened in the fact that really didn't get any spending.
No cuts and that.
Feel a lot like the tax.
Increases were really there because some people got increases on the ordinary income yet.
Hedge fund operator for real estate developers are still paying 20% so I'm saying essentially double what they're -- On -- in my income vs their income.
And I think you know we need to fix those -- and that at parity issue out of -- of humility and there's a lot of money else will be raised for the government.
So talking about a wide range of issues but this is -- technology company as the brainpower behind Smartphones but he wants to be everywhere that we are tablets the medical industry.
Cars you name it the sky's the limit for Qualcomm guys.
-- somebody -- click -- -- got a sneak peek at the new Blackberry ten what did you think.
Yeah I NN and easing not receded say data with Research in Motion CEO we're seeing Hines says the company's chief technology -- -- an ice off.
The new Blackberry ten device is -- -- both send them.
And they will not be officially announced until later on this month but I have to say -- Carolyn Dennis.
They are cruel they are -- I have never seen this sort of stop -- that were on these devices anywhere before.
-- look good.
They feel good that they work really well.
And I think this company it is not putting and a half baked product I think it's gonna be a good release of this company the rumors -- true.
Blackberry -- -- and you dose of cool you know Blackberry aloft cool to out apple long time ago.
Be nice to see and get some of back.
Thanks a -- they -- -- I.
Thanks guys and.
