It is an and you didn't think the -- as you can't cheat the truth forever so number one is it if it takes you away.
From reality and empathy it takes -- -- from the truth if you can't really come to terms with.
What you struggle with you can't resonate with the struggles of others.
It isolates you and it makes you unable to empathize and what's more -- -- -- for depression.
We -- -- about the markets create a bubble the bubble will burst create kids who want FaceBook think they have 900 friends and are able to delete negative feedback.
And block people who disagree with them you're gonna find that our mental health care system which by the way doesn't exist.
Is that much more overwhelm -- interest in years you.
Sets you up the depression.
Anxiety bad feelings about -- sub sets it up in the future.
From lying to yourself is the perfect formula for me and we are all -- -- -- my real hair right yeah this is my real hair.
I don't know -- amid a -- look we all.
Distance ourselves for instance most of us too many of us from the reality that we're mortal.
Right it if we were focused on that would -- love each other more we probably pursue careers that meant the most to us and we should.
That's the the wonders of psychotherapy -- most on display when we help people to do that.
To get away from this fantasy and illusion but now we've made an epidemic it's a drug.
There's no difference between being on FaceBook thinking your hero and -- on Coke thinking you're happy.
I got to move onto another subject is a very important one especially for you and that's gun control and the mental health aspect office.
I'm suggesting that if we really want to crack down on people who get the guns we have to break that -- of privacy.
Which when an individual and a therapist.
At the moment designed to stand it if I come to you for therapy.
And I admit I've got real angle problems -- rest of it.
You cannot go to the cops and say this guy is out of control it's a private relationship.
Well the truth is if you felt that somebody either hadn't identified victim or was -- risk.
For homicidal radiation you have to -- hospital as a person.
So if there's somebody who psychotic and says I just went and got a gun whom that person should go to the hospital -- -- malpractice.
I think it's simpler than what you're you've been.
In vision.
We don't have a safety net for the potentially violently -- -- We deconstruct -- -- mental health care system the people who are visiting this Havoc upon us are people who can't get help.
We need to build that system it's not firearms firearms have nothing to do with -- you've got to give more power to therapists like yourself to say this guy's dangerous getting out idea.
We have an amount you don't have that -- Right now if you -- that individual if you had a a child who was that individual you would have been eroded by an HMO who by the way or criminal in this matter.
To a social worker to talk to that person for 45 minutes a week if you're lucky.
And a clinical nurse specialist for ten minutes a month.
And that's the help you get and if you tried to get that child of -- into an inpatient psychiatric unit you'd be told either by private hospital that you'll pay 80000 or 840000.
A month so you mortgage market house among month or you try to use your insurance and your insurance would be on the -- to that inpatient unit every day multiple times today saying.
When is that person getting out of that unit.
Get that person because we're not gonna pay for it's amazing that brain gets sick that we can't afford -- but there's so full that what you're talking about we can't afford to do that we can't afford not to do it because.
This these cases filter down to the penal system they cost much more there.
And the bottom line is people are paying this money if I -- my monthly fee to an HMO.
And silently.
There's a shell game going on where they intend to withhold treatment from mean this is every mental health care HMO in the country right now does not intend to treat you.
That's a massive it should be a massive class action suit.
Okay now wait a second you are thinking of running as a Republican candidate for a senate seat in Massachusetts are you thinking about doing this thinking thinking -- Now fast -- let's suppose you wrong let's suppose you win.
Would you go to congress you go to this for the United States senate complete the whole lot more money from mental health coverage would.
I would plead for money to be spent properly for instance people with first time -- offenses they should be eroded potentially to psychiatric treatment to prevent recidivism between admit it would cost and an arm and unlike you I that I I think it would now I think it's an investment in the future that will yield -- like Indiana -- president of don't know if it doesn't spend money you know deficit and this is partly on the on the backs of industry in other words if you have an insurance company.
You're supposed to ensure people for illness if you had diabetes -- you we're told that the gates of the hospital -- look.
If you fall down several times in the streets that's what you're cares supposed to provide you are asking -- massive increase in the spent on mental health know that that's yes you -- well first of all.
If you don't spend on this you will be cleaning up lots of crime scenes later you're in process effectively and secondly definitely everybody already know that people will -- the emergency rooms with.
They think they're having heart attacks.
They think that they're having panic disorder.
You cannot escape paying for others you can do which smartly if you jump on from the beginning you know we have medicine token -- book you your mental health professional and you want all business I don't know -- there's there's more than I -- I -- -- business that I can handle -- people paying in cash.
What are they pay me because you can't get an insurer to pay for you to see psychiatrist and I talk to that person and that's the vinyl.
