But let's face it we -- just limping along here on this road to recovery 155000.
Jobs it -- -- it didn't help get the unemployment rate down at all.
I think that jobs picture as pretty -- here to disagree with me is Christian -- Policy easy to welcome back to the show Christian.
-- let me tell me what -- bear will we are going to the commercial break before you look like you're sort of snoozing.
No no not at all Melissa and I'm not I'm not I'm not happy with today's report and what does -- It does confirm what I've been telling you and others for very long time what's now reduced in -- we do something differently.
This is where we are in terms of the labor market if we think.
That simply this is going to be a private sector led recovery that's going to produce the unemployment.
The -- the jobs through until my.
-- don't let recover real.
The government out there spending -- and cracking the whip -- doing everything they can't I mean.
Do something differently we just -- to do the exact same thing we've been doing for the past four years so why don't let your advice we're gonna be stuck here forever -- -- do anything differently -- we're staying honest road.
The reality is for -- years we have not had any real government investment in the economy it's essentially been.
You know austerity by another name what do.
I don't 178 billion dollars of stimulus that they never actually -- -- -- spent.
80% -- over the course of whatever was three or four years now they want even more they're not even.
You're -- the recover that could look clearly have been out of the economy for two years for two years and for two years we've had what you and others and I would agree.
Is insufficient job growth so.
For two years we've had the government out of it.
Just like people said we needed and what's happened so he's had job growth flat line Giuliani -- one.
Government spending your your answer right now we have this terrible budget deficit and we have a sixteen trillion dollar debt you think that we should spend more money where's -- money gonna come from.
-- -- for the sent out on the newly issued statements warming up today and found a smaller paycheck so -- the money come problem.
Well why did they wake up and find that the government raise taxes on us to trade paper this incredible value does that.
Because instead of dealing with this incredible jobs crisis we've had full -- said no the greatest threat right now.
Is our deficit which is just not accurate the greatest threat we have occasionally when the Kansas they're unemployed we only have we sat right next.
We're not gonna be -- -- effectively deal with the deficit until we deal with the jobs crisis don't you think it would be a much more prudent course.
To have people back to work contributing to economic growth.
And then deal with our deficit look at.
-- us for forty years now -- starting -- stickier why do you think he hasn't dealt with the jobs problem then.
I think it may have something to do with congress.
He's got a jobs plan that's been -- put forth before congress they haven't moved on it.
-- who exactly do you blame for that because we just -- -- this fiscal cliff DL.
That Republicans don't have any power they don't have any influence they can't get anything -- mean it's all the Democrats that are in charge there President Obama -- -- charts are gonna blame people for not doing what you -- over the past four years.
It's gotta be the Democrats in the press and it.
Well I would think -- house Republicans would beg to differ with that they seem to think that they have a lot of power and they don't exercise that I don't think -- I don't -- a single Republican would come on right now and tell you that they feel like they're in power right now.
Well it seems that the president who campaigned on this whole idea that taxes should not.
Should not be maintained at a low rate for people over 250000.
Dollars a year he lost that battle and why did you lose that battle because house Republicans.
Didn't want to see taxes increase -- anybody at all so clearly they do have some power and clearly the president's not totally getting his way.
Rich Republicans didn't want to see taxes raised and anyone at all but Democrats won and -- that you know this week 77% of the population saw their taxes go up.
They saw their paychecks go down everybody got a paycheck today -- because it was smaller.
They have less money to spend in the economy that is because the president insisted that taxes go up.
And everyone I don't know how that's helpful to the jobs picture.
Now the president didn't insist on taxes going up when everyone it's regrettable it's extremely regrettable that we can find some way to replace.
The 2% up payroll tax cut which should expired but it should have been replaced with something else and that's something that -- president.
And the congress has full responsibility for because nobody fought for.
-- I think the one thing we agree on is this is a disaster.
I don't have.
Not just -- jumping for joy.
Thank you for coming on tonight you are always agreed upon in a good sport I'd love it when you come on to disagree with me.
Take care -- and are you you're again -- -- now.
