House speaker John Boehner is under fire after delaying action on a bill for hurricane sandy relief aid.

We cannot and we should not wait -- we must not walk away.

This is a disaster -- on top of a disaster.

Absolutely inexcusable absolutely and defense -- this is an absolute.

Disgrace.

And the speaker should hang his head in shame.

But Boehner and other Republicans criticized the bill rightly so.

For being loaded with pork like the 150 million dollars allocated for Alaskan.

Fisheries.

We do better than that.

The house -- -- members are sworn in tomorrow is now set to vote this party on a down payment.

Of nine billion dollars for disaster -- While another vote is set to come on January 15 for the remaining 51 billion nothing on Monday I had a business -- was prepared on Tuesday morning to open not.

And when I got there I had nothing -- didn't ransacked the start -- the Waltz.

There's good news to report tonight last month we told you about small business owner Diana -- -- Who Staten Island bagel store was completely wiped out by sandy.

Exactly one month ago Diana had nothing but now she's back up and -- -- just heard from her.

And she's joining us now on the phone from -- store -- great to have you with us thanks so much for joining us.

So tell us what's been your you got your doors open have that happen well we opened on Friday.

It happened we shared determination.

And hard work on.

And I'm so proud to -- that were open and back up and running.

Well that's great news tell us what the last two months have been like -- you.

You have really struggled and we're showing pictures here of what your store looks like right after the storm it's a disaster.

Out like like -- -- -- I'm doing nothing left we started at negative had to get back to square one and to rebuild the Internet the past few months have been.

Mind blowing I I can't even imagine and believe that we got through it like we did it.

But again.

-- -- I gonna ask you this question.

-- there ever a point that you thought were just not gonna make it I'm gonna have to close down for good.

I'm not gonna lie I thought that's my thousand once in -- I mean who wouldn't think that but.

I'm -- -- that have only been if I don't I'm surrounded by.

Such love and such determination that everybody in my life that we never.

You don't think it's so great about your story and now we're seeing pictures of your store restored.

-- that you didn't take government money there was no government money that made these pictures possible here.

Nothing.

Everything you'd be 99% of that was done -- -- Bieber here every single statement this door closed.

Sometimes working -- 1:2 o'clock in the morning outside in the dark in the cold.

With no heat up until -- before we even opened our doors.

We did as much as he possibly -- our thousand.

And everything was -- our own body at this point did your employees' -- yes you know why are plays have been meeting.

Everything employee came back -- -- here working we have -- team back I think that collect and we are family and -- -- -- together.

What you know it's interesting because here you are your small business person you can recover from a storm is big is sandy.

Really liked that two months only two months.

And yet when you look at the bigger problems this country faces.

It it's just takes so much more time for Washington to get -- -- around to a solution is seems to me and you tell me what you think -- I'm -- private sector solution is it seems to be always better.

The private -- to mention its role he brought it -- and I didn't do it you could stand around and talk about it you could interact and ponder it.

But the real issue is to get things done and make it happen.

Jump -- I just do it and it's frustrating to get people going back and forth and they are fighting over issues and small things in.

You know what.

It's not gonna stop the problem people need immediate at this -- and people need.

Their government officials to get debt down 38 -- it.

Understand what people are going through not just -- on TV and and come -- in -- if you can't they need PP.

Down until it may be some of the people the private -- there need to be more involved in the government and and children how to get done.

Well Diana at I can't patent what you're saying is is so awesome roll up your sleeves that guy van and -- get -- -- I was really want to -- -- shout out to my immediate customers who came back deported.

Hug and -- indeed I've been getting -- hug being shifted to think Friday there's still great all the good eye opening and what what -- -- that if people look at -- and couldn't imagine it ever coming back and the fact that we came back bigger better and stronger and don't quickly.

-- -- Everybody -- their hope.

It doesn't matter how big it is it'll be batter and we keep people out there hope that we could feel it coming from what we went through.

They can do it and they need help and that it'll every customer walked in my door.

We can't help you now time Paris today dream tomorrow -- that I.

Thank you don't -- -- -- your message is just great and I really appreciate your coming on and talking -- at this.
