Good morning happy new year hope your feeling great they're not happy new year -- -- team in we got the audience of course.

-- this familiar pattern done there's there's a deadline -- in this case it would -- New Year's.

And they go up to the wire and in this case they went beyond the deadline and fortunately the markets were closed and so.

The markets didn't freak out but.

You know over the weekend the senate majority leader Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell we're negotiating and then -- didn't return offer for eighteen hours.

And so at the last minute a -- odd couple was formed in Mitch McConnell called vice president Joseph Biden and and they worked at a yield but you know it was cute guys on the phone in and so the rest of congress was irrelevant.

The president was you know listening to what -- vice president was doing.

And they didn't address the big issues of our time you know they didn't address the debt they didn't address entitlements.

And I mean to their credit they got something done to keep us from going off the fiscal clip.

Once again this was another huge deal that came to Washington.

And they delayed it you know I mean they kicked kicked the can I hate to use that term again but.

You know these automatic spending cuts that are due to kick in any gain out -- the sequester.

Cut to the Pentagon that the Republicans are supposed to hate.

Cuts to domestic programs that Democrats are supposed to hate they ought to want to that so they they delay that for two months and so.

Before you know -- after these guys -- sworn in on Thursday new congress.

-- slugging it out again over.

Increasing the nation's credit card the debt limit and also fighting over these cuts that we're supposed to be so brutal.

That they thought everybody would want to get critical but they have many -- -- do that -- Talk remark about notion of congressional correspondent.

For Fox News seventy minutes sixteen minute -- there are.

You know -- Although no more generous people.

On the planet.

And of people -- and the New York City area and I'm including obviously.

People.

On Long Island and -- longer.

And in new Jersey's attorney Lana short there people in Connecticut and -- -- When things happen around the world other disasters happen even in his country and yet.

All when one rehab down.

-- reflect those.

Catastrophic.

Hurricane.

All the congress couldn't bring themselves.

Particular house to pass -- sixty billion dollar -- door -- been passed by the senate.

Well let me fully disclose -- your audience I was born in New York City.

Raised in New Jersey went to school at Rutgers so I have a lot of sensitivity about that entire area.

-- a lot of folks who were out of power for a long time and some who were out of their homes at this point.

So I understand the frustration in the aggravation and it looks like Washington once again dropped the ball.

Fund a huge portion of our country.

I am told that the speaker of the house John Boehner intends to get this done sometime this month.

Eric Cantor the majority leader says that he plans to take get that deal done for the people of new York and New Jersey but.

A lot of new York New Jersey lawmakers last night were outraged in the wee hours of the morning when -- just -- one crisis.

When they were not taking up this debut release bill in the house and these people -- gonna be left waiting longer.

Now I don't know that he helped in terms of whether -- still had money in their coffers and whether it's really going to air hammer people in new York New Jersey but.

I know -- terrible for folks up there who are suffering.

Have been through so much and obviously it's it's a cold time of the year so if the money slows up at all.

Your heart goes out to them.

The world Wynonna for -- schmuck from Virginia not traffic or -- -- do -- for -- higher oil sands are gonna get it done in the next month.

And there are billions of people at a by the -- so lots of people without power and so on and certainly almost remain.

It's it's it's a got to get all the Dick -- to get a word.

That because on because unconscionable -- comfort.

-- and I and I you know I I have nothing except to say that they become -- they wanna get it done and all I can imagine is it is.

Many members of the house were very frustrated with the deal they had to vote on last night they were saying.

Where -- the spending cuts in this fiscal cliff deal there were no spending cuts and there and so we're gonna keep expanding into.

They -- sixteen trillion dollars in counting and so.

It was -- -- -- popular vote with a lot of people and perhaps after that the house leadership just said if we ask our members to spend more money right now.

We're gonna have a revolution on our hands and so we will be getting into the light today as we talk to folks this happened in the middle of the night last night.

But we will be certainly -- that answer.
