Last -- fiscal -- deal raises taxes on just about everybody it is a huge political win for President Obama.

Yet it is let's bring in Doug -- former Clinton advisor and Fox News -- You look I'm -- it's a huge win for the president politically but for the country economically I think it's very bad news and you say walked.

It's a disaster -- a centrist Democrat -- I heavily taxed centrist Democrat but a Democrat but we're doing nothing about the debt the deficit the sequestration.

Budgetary policies and were up against the debt ceiling limit.

In the a multitude -- this is rotten well -- what point are you gonna lead upon it -- just dumb as to us well.

The Republican Party had no strategy no plan nothing as an alternative so you have to compare something.

-- in this case to nothing and like I'm not gonna join a party that's -- of ideas.

And doesn't really stand her -- one nation policy at the start of this program I played Greek music right and -- -- tongue in -- right as a point that you know I'm I'm being too strong -- America to Greece's Stewart had arrived and you would have played.

Italian folks to because I think we're closer to Italy -- to Greece but you're not being.

Too strong because we are heading in the direction of fiscal Armageddon we can't sustain the policies that the president is pursuing.

Okay hold on 12 as I've got a Gallup poll it measures public satisfaction with the direction of the country is heading and at the start off of a president's second tough.

Only 23%.

Are satisfied with the current direction hasn't -- president Obama's second -- He was 45%.

Satisfaction at the beginning of George Bush's second term and he wasn't exactly popular at that point he -- what is that what is.

Does that tell you about the way people feel about our country.

He here's what it sets.

This win on the tax vote is a short term victory for President Obama as you correctly pointed out the but is more important.

Long term it's bad policy.

And the American people who are already very cynical.

Will hold the president accountable the mid term elections could be a disaster for the Democrats and the president I put it to -- that you'll centrist wing of the democratic polity.

Virtually no longer exists that's correct it -- it is very sad but those of us in the middle and -- sometimes we are allies other times not.

But it's very hard to be in the middle when there is no middle.

Quick comment on this story -- in the New York Post they say we may build.

The keystone pipeline and that's why Lisa Jackson is leaving the EP you'll common.

It's two reactions first if we build the Keystone Pipeline that's terrific terrific for domestic energy.

Terrific for breaking are linked to overseas oil.

And if she goes because of that my attitude would be good reasons why is the president I mean this is just something that may happen -- -- may he would have.

Happen now and not been fully alert.

Because of the unions and the environmentalists.

They hit bottom line he made the judgment that politically he needed to keep.

The environmentalists are on the table he didn't want Daryl Hannah.

Arrested have been from the White House -- -- be the one who was arrested he wanted to keep it down but he said to be unions don't worry it will get it built afterwards.

And bottom line given the union financing of the Democratic Party.

None of this is a surprise it it is a surprise to me.

I mean look he hasn't done yet we don't approve this thing -- -- obviously got -- But this is the first on the market -- about -- president actually reverses course in an ideological way.

He reverses course because politically he is obligated.

To his funders and it's also such logical sound public policy.

Even this president has -- Follow what I believe is -- -- Good sense if you don't believe he's -- gonna really rein in spending and reform entitlements is not gonna do -- I am a supporter of Bowles Simpson I know you've had some sympathy for that.

I would believe that anyone who supports those policies has to be very -- today that that.

You like bowled since I do and I'm like it because it actually reduced tax rate correct there's nobody in the Democrat party today who goes with low tax rate there was nobody.

-- only Erskine Bowles of the Bowles Simpson plan and he's a lonely man today and don't show and I think well I'm I'm lonely too but I'm pleased to be with few cherry my previous afternoon you're young the -- to use our -- -- --
