But some of the other things that are going on in the world as well to talk about the stock market in the declines in the fiscal cliff and everything else but let's go to Washington.
-- right now and bring in a democratic a member of congress -- been standing by waiting to join us our congressman.
Our Rick Larsen from Washington State -- -- and obviously we wanted to talk a congressman about the fiscal cliff and what's gonna happen.
But boy were coming -- -- true I think a dramatic event is not an overstatement from Wayne -- the National Rifle Association.
Took about -- all the schools and our country.
I guess the money would have to come from from congress sitting what's your reaction to all that.
Well there frankly isn't money in local school districts for this kind of proposal.
They generate proposal seems there really wanna put money into.
Setting up programs like this but then you know we're dealing with just a -- and it doesn't this put up money in the congressional budget in this kind of -- also I would also.
I don't think the solution is more guns in our schools and no one is calling my office and my districts saying -- -- in schools school safety is important.
I think we're doing a lot of possible -- -- do a lot of these things that the generations be talking about already this is a matter resource in.
That I hear anything new I'm not quite sure heard anything new except maybe Harry commitment to help them but folks are talking about Morgan schools.
Talked about video games talk about a lot of things but then he was certainly one of the he was definitely talking about more guns in schools and -- arming these police officer at.
Is there any support for that and -- -- on your side of the democratic side I'm sure there's not to get a sense that there's there's the overall -- combine -- with Republicans to support for that kind of thing are now.
Well you know and in the ninety's through the department justice there was a program to help fund school resource officers -- sorrows.
In our schools to bring a local officers.
And -- schools to help.
Not just be a protector but also the I'm relate to kids and try to break that barrier down between law enforcement and and especially teenagers and middle schoolers.
So you we've tried this before insists that its language because of lack of funding.
OK let me ask you -- one other issue to strip the stock market for a moment and look at it as we speak the Dow.
-- down by 150 points today we had -- last night no vote the Republicans weren't able to.
But the votes together into -- the speaker so called plan B so now.
The question I have for use this as a Democrat if the president were to cut a deal over the weekend with the speaker if that happens.
On your side would you personally vote for anything that the president presents to you matter what it is he says -- -- I need you guys to vote -- would you vote for.
I would take a look at it but I would probably vote court if it meets couple conditions one is a balanced approach.
Doesn't look at that revenues and spending cuts there's a long term deal you know we're looking at a ten year deal.
And and as well do we have -- in about the debt ceiling and here's of -- not we're not returning to this issue in the next two months.
Nobody in America wants congress to return -- this issue.
In two months to do it all over again so is going to be a deal that gets done and it's long term that I think that that is something that that Democrats and Republicans who.
Good support not congressman Larson thanks a lot thanks for coming on.
-- comes -- Rick -- Washington State major snowstorm is another big store.
