But administration officials this morning testifying on sandy declined to confirm that number but they did say that the White House will be sending a disaster relief bill up to congress by the end of the week now the three hardest hit states new York New Jersey.

And Connecticut alone are seeking eighty billion dollars in federal help the administration is teeing up a big -- Quest.

Much of the impacts of sandy go far beyond FEMA programs.

We have major transit issues there are going to be significant challenges with housing.

As was pointed out -- is assistance and housing is limited.

While the maximum benefits and individual family could receive is about 31000 dollars -- they have no insurance obviously.

That's not gonna rebuild destroyed or damaged halted have insurance.
