Congress has to deal with this fiscal clip we get a new Gallup poll showing a majority of voters.
We are not 54%.
Beat the honesty of members of congress below and that of used car also car salesman.
Republican congresswoman Diane black.
We'll tell us what are your constituents saying about this fiscal -- -- Dennis said so many of us have fatigue about it.
But -- you know I'm hearing -- both from my individual.
I'm constituents in my business owners that they are really very concerned about the spending problem in Washington and that is not really being talked about.
There's a lot of focus on the other side but there is.
A real need to control our spending because we know that we're spending a trillion dollars more than what we're bringing in every year.
We can not continue down this path eventually you'll go off the cliff.
And we have got to resolve that by looking at those on drivers of our debt which are -- the entitlement programs and we've got to talk about that.
Right and or not and I'm not really sure why me because I think -- really easy fix.
He's just to raise the retirement age -- that's something on the table for the Republicans.
Well -- -- have something on the table for Medicare which is the really greatest driver of our debt right now Corso security as.
Also an issue that we're going to have to look at 85 trillion dollars worth of unfunded liabilities right now that's not -- being talked about.
The sixteen trillion dollars and that is what we always hear that there's 85 trillion dollars in non fundamental and liabilities there.
And we already put a plan on the table in our path to prosperity.
It was a plan that did give seniors more -- gave a more accessibility.
And with the premium support program and that really would've helped to start to bring that cost carbon bandit.
But it it -- it right so what's it gonna take to get this done because I think everyone just wants to Blake sit down to their holiday meal knowing that this is not something they're going to have to worry about the next day.
Well I think that is going to take seriousness to come to the table would be adults and talk about those really tough issues and spending is the problem.
-- we hear the administration continued to talk about.
I'm putting this tax on near the small business owners this is going to be one million small business owners who will be affected by this tax.
About 700000 jobs will be lost the economy will start to shrink again rather than -- And that's really where we need to move -- we come to the middle on this so where is it that the Republican Party can it can give a little in order for us to some what.
To not have compromised the a dirty word.
Well let me just go back to what if we -- to do what the president's asking us to do.
Does anyone realize and -- about what kind of revenue that's gonna bring in -- 58 and a half days of government.
Where's the other 355.
Plus days that you've got to fun.
And so this is all panacea just talking about this one thing that seems to get a lot of people very loud they're not get series and talk about.
True balancing our budget we -- this is not going to do it by just what the president says that he wants to do.
You know why I think at this point not only does the market needed deal it needs a good one not just kicked down the road congresswoman Diane black thank you for sharing your thoughts.
