People shop for themselves.

I -- black Friday's big success in sales Cyber Monday is expected to almost double that my next guest says both Google.

And Amazon are partially to thank for those numbers they includes only half of all online purchases Eric best joins -- not he's the CEO of -- Dot com.

So you know and consumers again it was all about the online sales on Friday huge jump for those -- and Americans shopped.

On line near record what do you make of it.

Yeah I was a big weekend.

For our clients we serve -- portfolio of 500 of the largest retailers.

-- and nationally as well as globally and we saw.

Sales up on Thanksgiving Day 32% year over year he -- decline a little bit on Black Friday -- -- -- 3%.

But the data or the first half of today coming in is -- 20% year over year growth which is still incredibly strong free commerce and of course it's dwarfing.

Brick and mortar retail.

Wolf that's the thing I mean you know the estimates -- for Cyber Monday that -- say one point five billion but I can't help but wonder.

If we're gonna see -- stealing from Black Friday.

Those that normally what -- a Cyber Monday like forget it I'm getting out there what part of because many web site to Wal-Mart target for example.

They offered the same deals on their website that they did in the store.

Yeah there's there's no question that Thanksgiving took some of that.

Market timing and and moved it forward this year.

The other thing that we're noticing among our clients is that these.

Door buster promotions that have been driving early shopping among consumers in prior years.

They're still very important again today is definitely going to be the largest online shopping day ever.

-- but we are seeing that the whole industry is sort of giving way to a new model and that is that retailers are increasingly automatically pricing their products.

Based on real time information that they're collecting on competitors and based on real time information that shoppers are seeing on Smartphones and tablet.

It isn't I -- you know what Eric do you really get a better deal on a Cyber Monday for example -- me one of our producers was looking for.

The particular item as the watch and -- -- Ed Ed and the website along mention.

And it was -- you know 125 dollars did a Google search two seconds it's there was a hundred point -- dollar versions of us watched everywhere had nothing to do with Cyber Monday so are we -- will limit the -- -- happening here with retailers.

-- issue and I don't.

I don't think it's a trick so much as it's.

Consumer savvy is catching up with retail merchandising sappy.

And shoppers are realizing that they don't have to stay stand in line for twelve hours necessarily to get a great deal.

They just need to do a simple Google search or an Amazon search as you mentioned earlier.

More than half of all offline purchases are first researched online.

And when you look at the influence of sites like Amazon and Google.

Almost half of all online purchases begin with a shopper searching for a product on one of those -- sites.

-- right what.

Eric thank you very much it's great to have you on the show very very interesting as you can see we're also always talking about Cyber Monday on Black Friday and we'll see what it -- for the economy Eric thank you very much.

Thanks a lot.
