This is a Fox -- election.

President Barack Obama has just been re elected and reelected as president of the United States.

Enough of -- I wanted to move wins the election result mean for freedom -- freedom freedom.

That's our show.

-- -- finally over how we get four more years of Barack Obama so.

What does that mean for a the most important issue to make free up.

In Chicago where the president's most loving supporters celebrated with him -- -- special correspondent Kennedy asked people there.

What is Obama's election mean for free.

-- Obama's -- do for freedom.

Freedom for -- Your freedom.

-- free and what does that mean for freedom.

Is that.

Now let's dance most people they had no clue what to do with the questions just not on there radar.

That's upsetting to me sol let's take that question of the -- has taught me a lot about about a lot about the importance of freedom.

David -- of the Cato Institute itself.

We surprised by that.

I must say I'm dumbfounded by that I didn't expect that if you ask people at the Obama celebration that question they would give the answers I would like but.

I -- -- would have had an answer.

It's as if their attitude was what stuff can government gives me.

And freedom to do year old thing isn't part of it.

Well let's try to -- I don't really understand that I mean they're used to be left there was a -- cultural left there is certainly it is natural probably talk about today -- movement in favor of marijuana freedom for instance that is about doing your own thing even if those people don't understand.

That starting a business is also about doing your own think.

So it's very disappointing to me that they don't.

-- fate of the connection.

Between a democratic election and its impact on freedom.

So let's bring Kennedy into the conversation Kennedy thank you for going Chicago.

Regardless so I don't have to.

-- and our it what was -- like these people are so happy that this big government guy has one again.

-- -- -- thrilled and I was really inching with the freedom question.

People used it very -- -- when they can actually come up with an answer I didn't think it was going to be that much of a stumper.

But I would say not 57% of the people were dumbfounded.

-- let's get this to some of the specifics in.

Chicago -- that you ask supporters what his election will mean for America here are some of the answers.

Climate change.

Addresses in the near term future immigration.

Would definitely help seems like me be able to go to school and then never see the body education lying -- -- -- car -- -- think.

-- -- -- -- Yeah.

So Heath.

You're -- there.

They feel he saved the country are I feel we're gonna go broke sooner because he's in power but.

But I'll let you.

-- forward re gonna go broke sooner because we've run up five trillion dollars in debt under his administration now you know we ran up ten trillion dollars over the last few administrations.

So it's not unprecedented but it is a higher rate of increasing the national debt that we've had before.

And as far as saving the country if you believe that all those bailouts and all its stimulus money and all of that stopped a depression then I guess you would -- he saved the country.

I don't think that.

I think they put incredible new burdens on business enterprise.

I heard somebody say on NPR saying.

Businesses have been holding back on investment because of uncertainty.

Now with the election -- certainty so.

Maybe they'll start investing -- I think that's whistling past the graveyard when this certainty is higher taxes and more aggressive regulators I don't think that's going to be very good recipe for investment.

And and more debt when when you talk about the five trillion in new.

Death let's we have this chart comparing Greece and the track it's been put on we never riots increase this week.

And the United States is about twelve years behind but the same trajectory.

Yemen now more on -- fast track and I think you know as far as debt and some of the the younger people I spoke with last night were jubilant they were excited.

But it's also incredibly irresponsible to the point of being dangerous and I don't think they realize that -- -- taking on that debt to bankrupt their own future and futures.

Of their children and it it was very short -- this celebration because people think.

Free stuff is great when essentially it's not -- at all it's -- Erica.

And in the clip that we just play they talked about priests free stuff I get to go to school free but also immigration.

And yet Obama's deported more people than bush did.

And then climate change.

Climate change was never dressed in any of the three debates and that's that one thing and I asked people over and over again the president never talked about climate change.

On that stage when when he could have if that war at -- issued to him and clearly it's not so I don't see why people think the next -- -- are going to be different or why that matters.

Immigration might be an opportunity for some progress in the next four years because hopefully the Republicans have gotten the message that what -- been doing with regard to social issues and immigration has not been working for them.

So maybe they're ready talk and maybe he'll be ready to talk if they are.

And act as President Obama has been the candidate of big government and cry liberalism as I called corporate.

Supported government supported mentioning -- -- your next but capital national.

I it's at least a few people were very clear about how.

He they were happy that he was gonna give the stuff Michael -- him -- -- when you have a three point six trillion dollar federal government that money goes somewhere.

And it will absolutely benefit some businesses that's the whole point of government intervention of crony capitalism.

It is taking money from all of us and then giving to some people and so if you are one of the companies that will benefit may be one of the clean energy or green.

Jobs companies that has not already gone bankrupt.

Then you might get that money and similarly if you're defense contractor you'd be in favor of Mitt Romney getting elected because that would be good for your business but it's all bad for the American economy in general.

Attacks on people and then doled the money out Romney had a good long during one of the debates when he said you're not just picking winners and losers he is picking losers.

-- They can pick some winners probably just by -- -- they will random selection you've written about people viewing politicians is that.

Magic politician who will just solve every problem -- Obama was the magic president I got the senseless like these people waited -- three hours before he showed up and they.

We're waiting for ever he's magic to them.

Yeah now they they really feel that he had this intrinsic quality that is going to now they've been reelected change people's lives and they know essentially they were -- he's just -- -- the last four years.

-- For what it's it's -- And there were some if you were people who felt this way about Romney but this -- say it is really danger well that's right I think Obama is.

A classic example of this cult of the presidency but the idea.

That the president or any politician can just fix all the problems in society that there's some kind of magic there.

Doesn't start with Obama it goes a long way back and it is this attitude that.

We should get rid of racism the president should do that he should stop the rise of the -- he should get everybody a house you know what I saw an interview once with teenagers were they said action and even preteens.

Who said things like he should get everybody house well kids did it that's understandable they see people without houses they say the government should give everybody -- house adults are supposed to understand that there costs and trade offs and incentives.

And -- if you start trying to do these things there are a lot of unintended consequences and the government cannot just magically.

Eradicate racism poverty homelessness and apparently saying that there are trade -- does not get to elected either.

I'm told now -- about a has a mandate the Republicans should honor.

Well I'll tell you one thing about the mandate ahead -- anybody point out.

He got nine million fewer votes last night -- he did four years ago that seems to undermine the notion of a mandate he had for years.

And nine million fewer people showed up to vote for it.

And that that's the word that a lot of people used in Chicago.

I mean they said this was a mandate you know this in this is the country and -- and they weren't just talking about health care.

And that it was inching because when freedom came up a lot of women said freedom to mean means freedom over my body and freedom to choose.

When they say freedom over my body means freedom huge they mean that the government should force my employer to pay.

For my medical and birth control choices so it's nobody nobody is in fact threatening any woman's right to -- Please if he spoke to those people last night they would say that if Mitt Romney were elected pell grants that go way no would be insured -- be able to afford college.

And abortion would immediately be illegal acts and then levels rationality that -- A Dickensian nightmare and and more people answered your freedom question with not treated.

Freedom to choose but obamacare I'll get health care now how that's freedom.

Somehow it was going to be free healthcare but they don't understand it you have fewer choices you have -- choices and -- a single Payer system.

And that universal health care is an a lot of people said that is the ultimate goal -- but we're headed.

And besides which it's not free you pay for it in a different way it seems -- -- I -- somebody the other day if the hotel I was gonna stay -- had free Wi-Fi in and I realized well of course it doesn't have free Wi-Fi I'm asking is the cost of the Wi-Fi included in the list price of -- hotel room all I don't want you in my hotel.

One last clip I'd like to -- from last night as an Obama supporter -- was so happy finally to be at the -- We need the people that have a seat at the table when the big decisions are gonna be made has -- gonna suffer the most.

Sell the politicians decide who.

Is gonna suffer the most -- a pie and they'll take some and so who -- -- -- it's been total capacity we don't know what's going on at that table of suffering.

But now there is good at what the next four years I'll be this great transparency and that we'll have a feet and attitudes and -- Of course one of the problems there's this whole concept that there is -- people.

And they will have a seat and are they represented by one of the politicians.

All the people but there's another point parent you know the fact is that was an African American man who was making apple.

And the Republicans for the past seventy years.

Have told African Americans and women and gay people and immigrants that you don't really have a seat at the table you don't have all the rights and dignity.

That the rest of us duke.

And now they are paying the price Republicans wonder why they can't break into the black vote why there's a gender gap they should look back on seventy years of history of conservatives.

Resisting equal rights for each one of these groups and that's a lesson.

They have got to learn.

But it's also a lesson that you can't -- in four years I think at chickens have come -- Thank you Kennedy and David -- is coming -- What the election means for unions and marriage and marijuana.

-- -- finally -- here.

Mindedness.

Libertarian presidential candidate governor Gary Johnson got 1% of the vote.

-- really thought he was gonna wind -- And he'll join us later but for now let's move beyond the presidential election to some of the important ballot initiatives.

At stake in some states.

Legalizing marijuana for recreational use allowing gay marriage toward California raising their own taxes -- -- I can't follow all of these measures so let's do what I do and I want to learn whether my freedoms in danger -- -- reason magazine.

Or even better the brains behind it reasons editor in chief Matt Welch and nick Gillespie who runs reason TV so.

That freedom win.

And all.

A little bit if you look at opportunities that Americans had yesterday to vote.

In a libertarian direction they actually took it pages were given that many opportunities.

Specifically the biggest thing by far is the marijuana legalization.

In Colorado and Washington which is a huge deal -- shot across the bow.

On on drug prohibition and this is how prohibition is eventually going to and in this country like alcohol prohibition and did before that I didn't know this -- you pointed out alcohol prohibition was repealed by some individual states before.

The Fed's -- right.

Two dozen states I think by the end of of that prohibition period do you work another -- -- -- three years in -- probation and sold for ten years enforcement was entirely up to the fit right in some of these cities also you know -- states lived in pretty open defiance and when you do that the federal government actually doesn't -- of guns to enforce this the majority vast majority marijuana arrest.

-- -- on the state level so there aren't enough DEA agents to go into every Colorado pot smoker from now wants it's going to set up a -- from the government and this is that.

Although at the same time the DEA one of our one of our reporters called the Drug Enforcement Administration who was warning people.

Whoever would listen that you know -- federal laws are still -- force.

But in a similar way the shift to marriage equality in a number of states places like Maine Maryland -- -- Let's stay on marijuana just for moment -- I'm happy to stand marijuana and how I'd just like president's state -- a law that doesn't mean -- -- they're out of trouble and the Obama administration has donated more than 200 dispensaries many more than bush -- right twice as many.

Has been god awful on this and and it was actually the Clinton administration another another democratic administration that started rating.

Medical marijuana dispensaries that became legal under California law.

This -- a stunning even after saying oh we're not -- exactly and this is a major major issue because it's not simply about drug legalization but it's about.

Does the state -- to the states have the right to set certain policies that affect their residents.

Where do they always have to kind of give over to whatever the federal government cents.

There have been other precedents of medical marijuana the Supreme Court ruled.

That's the federal laws that matter but this is another bite at that apple and it's gonna have ramifications far beyond just.

Marijuana -- Listen and let's keep in mind that 50% of Americans now for the first time are in favor of legalizing marijuana this is moving very very fast in the direction.

Towards popular support for repeal so it it hasn't started Colorado it -- solidly 55.

To 45.

And in.

Collar in Washington in Washington I'm -- in Colorado and Washington pass solidly.

And Washington sets THC levels for driving under the internal.

Switch that was a very controversial.

Part among the drug legalization or drug reform.

Crown.

About that but it was meant to kind of come up with a way of allaying some people's fear.

That there's no way to test for how high you Wal-Mart and went way and you should the creditors take your blood if you're in an accident you know we did well all of this is I believe Washington State has about a year to figure out the technical -- Implications.

Of the -- implementation.

And Colorado has about six months.

In Colorado's governor a Democrat.

Oppose this he says all the voters have spoken and we have to respect their well I thought the Democrats were for individual freedom.

He went on to say federal law still says marijuana is illegal drugs that don't break out that she goes or goldfish too quickly got there.

They love their stupid pot jokes don't think this is a great reminder that.

-- -- not gonna get any help from politicians on this issue -- -- a lot of issues in which both parties are terrible the way to get anything done is to -- around politics as usual.

He's initiative process when you can and other kind of technicalities.

Of independence to get stuff done Democrats have been just as useless.

As Republicans on this for forty years let's move on to these.

Propositions on tax increases in California these were being.

Matt Diaz said native California now this fills my heart with sadness but Jerry Brown not pushed through proposition thirty which the biggest one.

Increasing taxes in order to help blood covered the budget deficit only on a rich people you have to make over quarter million dollars.

Here's the big picture on California between World War II in 2008 you know how many years California had unemployment above 10% -- easier.

Okay since 2008.

That 200920102011.

About 10% it's going it's above that.

Kind of permanently now based on the sort of blue state model of having public sector unions set their own prices make their own pensions and treat these promises that taxpayers are forced to keep and we're seeing the results in California which is a disastrous economy.

And it you know California used to be the Bellwether state trends started there you know generally -- you know beneficial trends weather was -- I think it's not there was -- of the state -- what I was gonna say is beneficial trends -- you know would be stuff like freshly prepared in season vegetables at restaurants and things like that.

California is now a Bellwether for and it's -- death now really for what's going on in the United States.

It has -- -- refuse to rein in its spending to a point where it it is no longer attracting people.

So we should watch California not for what is good that is coming next in America for but what to avoid the -- third they're killing -- -- I and it's also a significant that I I think -- that California legislature now we have a supermajority as of last night so.

They don't need a Republican to do anything anymore.

There's no veto power the Republicans have over what -- so we have a beautiful experiment right we have a model here's a control group called California -- you wanna see how this line of economic thinking works in practice.

Let's watch this state and unfortunately for those of us who love the state.

On it's going to be car -- but it's it's also and it cannot and this vote for more taxes makes me wonder what happened of the Tea Party movement and you two together a book declaration of independence that independence were.

Replacing Republicans and Democrats I didn't see that this election.

Well in fact when you look at the exit polls -- national data independents were still a major player you've got a third voters who are Democrats a Third World Republicans.

And then the rest -- independents.

Other factors is that independent stayed home below their percentage of the general population.

Partly because they were not being offered anything by the that -- -- voting for Gary Johnson and many of them did.

But we have not seen the candidate -- -- who we're going to get independents come out independents overwhelmingly.

Are socially tolerant and fiscally responsible and unfortunately.

Those those types of major party candidates were in very short supply almost in every race to.

-- other political issues gay marriage.

Three states said.

Yes first time and been voted for and importantly.

Fourth state Minnesota said no to a anti gay marriage amendment to the state constitution -- -- the would have band that's right right.

But never I mean many states have legalized gay marriage but it's always been done by -- -- -- And it's 34 states have voted on it before and 32 states voted down suddenly now.

Three states vote yes and it'll be interesting to see how Republicans reacted this -- this is still in remembered she doesn't for Karl Rove made that election in part about.

Opposing gay marriage he is you know the Republican Party is reaping what -- on this.

I'm David Bos is -- point out there is a huge gap among young voters in particular between affiliation to Democratic Party and the Republican Party about twenty percentage points.

That is in my view almost entirely on social issues like this last point and not a happy one for freedom to states voted against political speech free.

Corporate politicos that's right Colorado and Montana I thought they were libertarian.

I they are ended this is you know there'd -- the what -- basically said is that date they looked at Citizens United and set other -- too much should dark money to -- and I'll consider other economic Supreme Court to desist right.

Decision that allows corporations to spend money on election is so you can still from a populist perspective you can -- others too much money in politics the way to do it is to keep people from speaking about it.

The upside of these ballot initiatives -- the state level is that they won't work they won't be effective at all because the technological.

-- around like -- was talked about with politics.

Is even stronger in terms of political speech it's very difficult to keep people from speaking their mind in in kind of larger and larger volume which is a good thing.

And may be the way Montana phrased it corporations are not entitled to constitutional rights because they are not human being.

Most voters will -- -- human beings -- a pair groups of people and they should have a right to participate in public people always forget that the Sierra Club is a corporation the reason foundation is corporation.

-- On that note -- thank you Matt and nick coming up.

I'm excited that there are some passionate libertarians who were elected Gordon knows finally.

We can build on the progress we've made.

Really they made progress.

Unemployment is higher now than when he took office probably because he increased the burden of government.

Federal spending is up by billions of dollars and Obama's bureaucrats and it thousands of pages of new regulations now we're up to.

This represents a 170000.

Pages of rules each one.

Is an assault on opportunity and personal freedom.

But maybe I'm -- negative let's get an expert look at what the election meant for freedom from our all star panel.

David Bos of the libertarian think tank of the Cato Institute -- Heath of the independent women's forum and columnists to Roy at -- so.

The Roy you first some good nose here I guess is a little -- -- I'm baffled what happened really didn't think Obama get back in the record that he presented but I think there is some good news in the senate.

One of the people one.

Just before you go there but -- worry the election -- we said what -- you want us -- you said it's vital that this not be a slight.

Republican win but a crushing defeat for Obama we need to discredit socialism in the US for a generation.

-- that -- -- and in -- suck up up up up up.

I don't know the good news the good news -- Jeff flake heal one senate seat that's good news Arizona has.

Had a terrific free market champion he's one of the biggest opponents of pork barrel spending he's well spoken.

Very intelligent and who else I think Ted Cruz in Texas also.

Very bright man a terrific speaker happens to be Hispanic I think that's something that's very positive but the Republicans are gonna to -- some way of speaking we with Hispanic voters and having Hispanic senators like Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz I think -- -- that regard but why is.

This libertarian audience applauding piece that -- anti gay marriage she wants to grow the military supports building a wall -- the Mexican border tripling the size of the Border Patrol well he's also somebody who believes in cutting taxes limiting spending balancing our our budget.

Not creating a boxes boxes of regulations so is your perfect ideal of reason magazine type senator maybe not but certainly much much better.

-- what some -- some of the bad news in goodness.

Okay at the state level I'll go to the good news -- several states passed some ballot initiatives.

To say up viewers -- Obama care Alabama Wyoming.

Montana they -- citizens of our state will not be compelled to participate in health care system and Missouri.

The citizens there voted to say we're not gonna have a health care exchange here.

Pretty Affordable Care Act the feds could still compellent but it will be harder right I think it indicates that the citizens of Missouri are thinking about this issue correctly that it's -- bureaucracy.

The state level regardless of -- -- the state are the Fed's.

It's a bureaucracy it's not a marketplace.

And the bad news.

Well the bad -- in -- ballot initiatives there were a handful of a bad news things across the country I was watching this or again ballot initiative.

That would phase out -- estate tax -- the death tax.

That the estate tax of something that's gonna come out again this year because it's part of the bush tax cuts on the federal level.

But that initiative failed 53%.

To 46%.

David boasts some other good news.

Well besides the marriage and marijuana initiatives and the health care initiatives I think that can be taken as a sign that -- all or a lot of libertarian leaning voters libertarian instincts in the public.

And so may -- it's not just that they loved Obama its that the Republicans have really driven away.

Independents and centrists and suburbanites with a lot of there social policies.

And in the House of Representatives.

So there's an interesting people in the House of Representatives several people who kind of come out of the Ron -- movement.

Thomas Massie in my home state and Rand Paul state of Kentucky.

There's another guy and 162%.

To 35 -- that's right that's a very Republican district his big challenge was winning the primary which he did it.

Just in a -- won his first reelection up in Michigan that was good that also won big that's right and he was and he was thought to be threatened.

Others another guy carry -- polio in Michigan kinda came out of no we're out of some strange circumstances.

He's a fan -- Ron Paul so that's good.

I'm a couple so.

Libertarians I well there it is not -- I'm not sure yeah.

Hamas is known as mr.

Knoll has a record -- voting against Republicans and Democrats.

-- oppose the Patriot Act warrantless wiretapping the drug war military I look forward.

I look forward to working with these people I think there are some other examples young Americans for liberty I believe endorsed -- yo -- in Florida whose new.

And also a lot of the -- one old and he wants.

And a lot of the Rand Paul people in Kentucky like Andy Barr who won an upset race in Lexington Kentucky for congress so there are few people there -- -- be good.

Thank you David Hadley the Roy coming -- the presidential candidate I voted for.

And now.

The next president of the United States.

Governor Gary Johnson and.

If you didn't.

You know John -- gobs got over a million votes but I'm kind of disappointed I -- didn't win number one and I thought that I thought there -- I thought I would have gotten a lot more votes I think people.

Ended up taking to heart the fact that this was a two person race and that every vote was going to count.

Of course I was trying to make the pitch that you make your vote count by voting for the person you most believe in but.

It really didn't pan out but we -- get over a million votes and put a voice to issues that I think really needed -- You know -- two point at one factor I think it was Romney losing the race and it was losing the race because he wasn't conservative enough -- dollars and cents.

And I think the Republican social agenda turns off most Americans.

What you did get 1% of the vote which is pretty good at a higher vote total than any libertarian has before.

But.

It does seem to be -- two party country people think Republican or Democrat and it's gonna take some work so open brains.

Well I think so and then and then now you talked in -- earlier segment about initiatives that didn't pass a marriage equality.

Legalizing -- regulating marijuana like alcohol in not Colorado I think that.

I think that that is going to change worldwide drug policy wow.

Like -- say coloradans get its and and they did it tonight I applaud Colorado.

-- join us now from New Mexico we've gone back to your home state Dugan lick your wounds and go back to private life.

But -- lick wounds I -- is is a big part of my life so I hope to.

Regain some -- ultra fitness here in the next month and not -- I'm not a fit guy right now but.

I'm looking forward to that and looking forward to being at continuing to be a spokesperson.

I I think the last thing anybody wants -- think about or even contemplate is the next election cycle I mean I join everybody in.

Putting putting my finger up my throat I mean we're sick of this it's it's done with let's move forward.

-- I I I think that country's in deep trouble.

And it's from a financial.

Standpoint.

I think that unless we slash spending we're gonna find ourselves in a monetary collapse.

Sooner than later.

And you joined the race because you didn't trust either candidate on that front to you said you never believed Obama would.

Try to balance the budget is he said he would.

Well I'm more liberal than Obama when it comes to civil liberties and -- a lot more conservative -- Romney when it comes to dollars and cents.

I think the majority of Americans fall in that category and look.

Republicans are horrible when it comes to civil liberties and they're not so good on dollars and cents.

Democrats are horrible on dollars and sense and they're not so good on civil liberties and like if a legacy I think the majority of Americans.

As as.

A member of the majority of him of Americans we do care about these issues.

Offering up a prediction.

And we're gonna find ourselves with a heightened police state in this country.

We're gonna find ourselves continuing to militarily.

Intervene in other countries affairs resulting in more enemies to this country than fewer.

And the -- spending is unsustainable.

And it's going to continue to be so.

On that bit of bad but probably true -- scary please stick around our audience wants to question you.

And after that some some pockets -- -- Gordon notes.

-- -- We're back with the libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson.

This shows special correspondent Kennedy who spent election night with President Obama and his fans.

And our real expert on individual freedom the Cato institute's David -- so questions from the audience whose first.

Gulf war.

Governor -- sometimes -- chambers from Orlando Florida.

And I was just curious of your future plans and if -- when he sixteen election is in -- future plans.

Well I think that the last thing the people wanna hear right now is anybody with future plans going to 2016 I mean that's like sticking finger in your through already done.

Throw up over just how sick we are of presidential politics that this that this moment but.

Staying involved trying to -- hat trying to provide a voice here for issues that I think are really important in those issues are civil liberties and those issues are spending and those issues are.

The endless wars that we find ourselves in now creating more enemies to this country even fewer.

-- on the scale between fund and horribly -- ruling what was the candidate -- It was exactly that it was fun so horrible league global -- and yet.

So.

Looking looking forward here to -- So looking forward to fund but but but but but but but.

-- Johnson.

I had yourself.

And judge gray filed a case according to the antitrust lawless against the Republicans and Democrats that monopolizing the debate is this correct and -- so -- what came of it.

-- we did file it still pending we put emergency clauses on both lawsuits that we filed and judge has ruled that there was nothing to an emergency that I didn't have to be in the debates immediately that they could wait -- until after the debates.

To hear these cases so the case is still are pending.

Hope you win that one but related -- and a judge.

Let's throw his vice president was a judge is -- -- wasn't.

Who's next yes.

Now we've all heard the old adage he who robs Peter Americans to pay Paul can always count on Paul's support.

Under Obama 48%.

People take from the treasury don't give back what happens to America -- we reached that tipping point of 50%.

Well I think we know now that no presidential candidate wants to answer that question.

But it it is an issue it's more complicated -- simply saying 48%.

Some of the 48%.

Are people on social security and Medicare and at least in their own minds they paid for that they're getting back what they pay.

I don't know they're getting back triple what they they may but in their own minds they are not free loaders they are in fact getting something they pay.

But it absolutely is a problem if you get more and more people in a democracy.

Thinking.

That a tax increase doesn't cost them any money and they can benefit from it.

And -- clearly have not found a solution to that problem we need to do a better job with fiscal and economic education but we've been working on that.

-- lot of experiments going on now with video and new media to convey messages like that.

But it's complicated I mean this solution is rationality.

Okay then we're done.

But there is this notion that we're a democracy.

-- -- not a democracy where constitutional republic.

Because in a democracy you can vote yourself a raise and I think that's where we've gotten to in this country.

I did have a third party debates the other night -- Jules Stein and she closed her statements by saying.

There are 37 million students out there that have -- just vote for me.

They'll get free tuition.

World -- is no different Bennett -- junior high school.

Promise but the good news was that Jill Stein is the Green Party candidate and she had a lot of supporters certainly around here and yet.

Gary Johnson got twice as many votes as she gas.

So high five.

-- -- -- -- I'd like to ask -- David how do you assess the likelihood of the expanding.

Numbers of incumbents in the Tea Party to.

Help influence Republican policy and hopefully national policy in the direction of more liberty.

I hope that'll be the case though.

Point I'd been making to the tea party for the past three years.

Is you have to stay engaged after the election because the spending interest and the rent seekers never stop.

Paying attention to congress.

And citizens usually do they get excited -- get people elected and then they go back to their lot lights yes go -- so many of us who you consider ourselves libertarians are disillusioned by politics disgusted with the outcome.
