He's been private sector and receiving retirement packages that are nearly nearly three times this rich asked the private sector.

Many -- -- says taxpayers aren't getting their money's worth of -- thank you for joining is IA.

I I hear the arguments but that there was -- federal what does it federal salary council.

And it came out and said no no no no no look federal employees are underpaid by 835%.

Amid they weren't even close.

Bryant you know just as you said -- the age old question because it seems every month every year.

We have someone coming forward saying look at these for federal workers they're so underpaid -- so be leaders need to do something about that.

I let -- see actually looking ally the data here is exactly what you had mention we don't take into account this generous wage and full compensation package.

Now a lot of government workers have on average you've got.

Is federal workers being paid thirty to 40% more.

Then the average private sector worker when you got into fact all of those bad -- and that's something that we need to be looking at as for talking about what's happening fiscal cliff why that's happening with the American government and whether we're going to be fiscally solvent in a few years.

This kind of spending that goes unchecked because people don't want to do an apples to apples comparison.

With the private sector and the public workforce finds a good question to be asking what we're looking -- our fiscal situation how we can solve it.

Well I'd listen if if they were underpaid by 35%.

I would expect the ruby had all of us the strong flow of them leaving re going out to the private sector he would get an immediate pay hike pretty Smart.

Absolutely and you -- you see all the evidence that contrary you see at the federal government hangs on -- workers.

Much more in the private sector or I -- they had a rent -- a -- at about 50% more people staying ride them leaving it.

-- over -- -- to shift around looking for about her out compensation packages.

And over early you know you need to look at what the cost is to tax -- I had Americans for Tax Reform my organization.

We looked at how much it takes actually paid for these compensation benefits -- wages over the course of forty year career for our for our federal bureaucrat and it can be -- much to eight million dollars over the course record just for one federal worker.

So this is something need to be looking -- asking you know what are we getting for the money we're putting into the system are we getting.

I've kind of returns to like to see and that investment in workers and that's why we'd have an apples to apples comparison only -- looking at private workforce and public workforce.

And making a direct comparison between expertise between academic achievement levels and -- the jobs that folks are really doing the work they're coming out -- and.

You know what's -- is that we have heard the same sort of story about.

How the states are -- more and now all of a sudden.

Those are not all of a sudden the last few years -- -- right layoffs and huge layoff coming in -- cities counties and all the local government agencies out there.

Because they saw that they could afford all this this conversation right and take place on a federal level.

What and that's a prom to what we see if the state -- -- a lot of layoffs coming in the wake of stimulus money drying up the federal stimulus bill of course pumped.

Thousands hundreds of millions of dollars.

Into public -- sector unions and the public education programs.

Telling states a local outlook -- these they had to hire more people.

-- the federal funds dried up the state and local governments couldn't take on the way to have it any longer and this is -- you -- to a lot of states like Ohio my home state of Wisconsin.

Going after a lot of requirements a lot of different contracts put on them by unions to try and make this right their fiscal -- to try to make it right with taxpayers.

Well ultimately have to shoulder this burden about these high costs of a labor force that they just can't afford.

You -- -- date is it it seemed as there were some switch some place.

Where people that I went to school with that went to work for government they did it because they said I'm not gonna make as much but I'm going to have.

More security.

And that's.

You see all these people at least at the state levels of below getting laid off right left of the security thing isn't there.

But the but the paint this president this changed it really has listened adding depth Newport thank you very much Americans for Tax Reform and everybody -- You come -- on -- is up to date on that I think a lot of people need to.

Take pause when they've when you hear the numbers because of the fact the benefits are thrown in there are right tomorrow.
