Well within two weeks since hurricane -- pounded the East Coast particularly new York and New Jersey.

Households those still without power -- still we're hearing more stories of heartache and heroism.

Had to rescue his three children by strapping them to his back.
Wading into the flood waters to higher ground he then returned to risk rescue with elderly in laws and his wife and then went back again to get a ninety year old woman.

All five of my children have homes on -- -- -- lost their homes quality myself all five your children -- I don't know my children yes and so you lost your promise well yes I got flooded out also.
So you know -- what do you make of the government's response here.
Slow initially aesthetically.
New large government federal agencies such -- relatively light colored basically no responsible for light.
But people once they got on the ground and up and gone have been -- -- very credible job.
But there room a bureaucracy that they're not -- -- -- of course responds true for its response agency like the police fired upon sought.
So that would be expected of them.

Where basically the community and people from the other outer boroughs have been donating food and clothes and all sorts of revisions for the people here.
What what did you learn -- Americans -- it because Circuit City seems to be worse than hurricane Donna in hurricane Gloria to the New York City area what what's your what's your feeling about that.
Well this is far worse than anything we've ever experienced or we've been imagined to devastation.
As widespread.
Large loss of power throughout the area a loss of life in some instances.
In the immediate -- we -- Yet now we've got you haven't got about 43 people dead.
And this is by the way -- anniversary of big Jumbo jet crashing after 9/11 in this very same neighborhood Charles.
And the thing is now people living till the minute that power till after Thanksgiving what do you make of that -- But we really likening it a year confirmation of one Powell -- -- -- life of one likening -- any information at all and it's that uncertainty business lending to the frustration the anger of the residents found here.
They're very self reliant they wanna get up and going.
What they need to how that's how turned on because we're gonna need heat and it is very -- -- -- -- was.
