So what the -- -- when will does actually and I hesitate to ask again with me.
And her president and CEO Kerr trading international Kevin.
They are coming on the program you know when those folks were saying that I was -- doubtful that this is gonna get straightened out -- you wanna take a stab at it now how much longer do you think we all have around here.
Well -- this is a nightmare PR thing for the mayor and others who said you know to be a day it'll be three days now it's weeks.
And I think a little over quarter the stations are -- we're hearing a lot of different reports but this is not a supply problem -- it's a problem giving it to their stations.
And the power supply from bottom line is this is an embarrassing.
Very good example of how bad our infrastructure is especially in York city for catastrophe like this.
And gas stations are a key component.
-- -- -- key component I -- we're talking about some gas stations that are out of power but you heard Adam Shapiro a lot of this house -- do.
Would that -- -- locations where they're storing the gas.
They have damage they don't have power which means that we're gonna start stealing supply we are starting this -- supply from our neighbors and this is a problem.
That's fanning out in impacting our neighboring states it is gonna keep going.
Yeah I don't see a real quick fix to this and and the supply terminals and other damage -- we don't even know about yet is going to be ongoing for a long time I think wishful thinking it's gonna be your -- time soon it will improve and they'll probably improved dramatically in the next couple weeks.
But it's still going to be sluggish for a long term I'm very concerned about heating oil supplies this winter as well.
Refiners have not had that time to shut down and do the maintenance they need for the most part.
And this is a disruption that could you know dragged out if -- -- early and it already is in the northeast and lasts longer than normal.
These prices could ratchet up for hitting all too when consumers can't afford any more -- bond markets.
Now and I mean I feel like doing it Disco dancers and -- the 1970s.
All over again here in New York I mean we're rationing when you see you know lining you know winds -- lines unemployment is crazy.
I -- this have to -- would not being prepared.
And the rest of the country should be worried as well I mean is anyone it I know in Florida they backup power for their gas stations because Spain.
Anticipate this terrible weather but what are the rest the countrymen -- other places prepared.
For a storm of any kind -- -- could this really happen anywhere.
Well yeah of course stand here I'm in Palm Beach I don't know all the of this grocery stores and gas stations have this because we have hurricanes but I think this is an anomaly in New York we haven't seen power -- New York for more than a day really and -- or maybe it.
So but I -- the end of the day there could be other disasters another terrorist tact anything can happen we don't know.
I do think that the retail gas station should not be forced to put in generators I think that oil companies could afford it.
But at the answers sketchy thing and I think with Bloomberg guy in charge obviously we have the movers and able to drink as much -- -- -- wanted to movies and sure that this will be a new requirements so afraid I don't think its right to do that though it is a good thing but I don't think its right to require it.
So what it you give me your bottom line and you're going national land because you saw we you know we airplane back this out of the video from other people who have dared to bet how much longer this is gonna take it is gonna be wrong what is your bottom line when in my going to be able.
To just pull up to gas station in kick -- again.
Well.
You know supplies are trying to get there it is a terminal problem -- the distribution -- -- -- problem might think that candidates from him in other week we announced a significant.
Well you know I mean few days every day it's gonna get better they're doing what they -- and it's so embarrassing for the mayor's office and other states as well.
That -- new Jersey's handle that fairly well.
But at the end of the Delta Airlines supplies and you know how -- they're they'll wind of everywhere but I think -- will improve dramatically and a couple days and then even more so by the end of next week Kevin thanks so much for coming on -- I hear on the record so be aware.
Okay thanks -- hack I think we can't.
